2023 KTM 390 Duke - Read For Launch?
As seen in the latest spy shot, the new Duke appears to be sitting in a showroom area. However, there is no exact detail about where this photo was taken. But, it appears to be that the bike is showroom-ready now and KTM might launch anytime soon. The new model will get a new design with sharper body panels & a reworked chassis. KTM has tweaked the swingarm as well as the rear monoshock has been offset. The alloy wheels are now similar to the new KTM RC 390. Also, the disc brakes have grown in size as well. KTM will also introduce a new TFT colour display on it with more connected features.
Another big update will be the introduction of a bigger engine. It is rumoured that the new Duke will probably get a 400cc single-cylinder liquid-cooled engine. If this happens, the new Duke will make a peak power of above 45 bhp. Also, the peak torque will increase on the new model. In terms of safety, KTM is expected to equip it with a dual-channel ABS, Traction Control System, & maybe different riding modes as well. The rider triangle or the riding position is also expected to be revised towards a more comfortable posture.
Verdict
KTM has recently updated its 390 Adventure in India with multiple new variants. Now, the next big upgrade is going to be the 390 Duke itself. With a more powerful engine & more features, it'll take on its rivals like BMW G 310 R & the upcoming Bajaj-Triumph Scrambler. We expect that its pricing will jump the Rs 3 lakh mark.
