2025 Jeep Grand Cherokee Facelift Spied
The Jeep Grand Cherokee, known for its ruggedness and capability, is undergoing an update for 2025. Recent prototypes showcase subtle yet significant changes to the front end, including updates to the grille and bumper. Although heavily wrapped, the silhouette reveals the upcoming changes quite evidently. These adjustments seem to aim for a more contemporary and assertive look while staying true to the Jeep's distinctive style. Additionally, observations from the prototypes indicate that sensors have been relocated higher within the front fascia, hinting at potential advancements in the ADAS level, or maybe just a repositioning for better sensing.
Apart from the heavily reworked front facia, you also get a fresh cut with the alloys adding to the depth of the exterior design philosophy. While the side and rear profiles appear largely unchanged from the current Grand Cherokee in these early spy photos, it's anticipated that the brand will refine the rear profile further as testing progresses and this could just be the initial phases of its testing.
Coming to the cabin space, it is expected to get a reworked dashboard layout in terms of design and the size of the infotainment screen, However, nothing more can be said beyond these updates as of now, and we will have to wait for more detailed shots from the inside. However, the Jeep Grand Cherokee already offers a plethora of modern features like a heated steering wheel, a 10-inch heads-up display, ventilated seats, a 10.1-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, solar control glass, heated second-row seats, active noise cancellation, and a 10.25-inch instrument cluster. The SUV also gets a 10.25-inch front passenger interactive display for added convenience.

Powertrain: Changes Unlikely
Jeep is expected to maintain the current powertrain configuration for the Grand Cherokee, at least for its Indian model, with no anticipated mechanical changes. The SUV continues to feature a 2.0-litre turbo-petrol engine paired with an eight-speed automatic gearbox and Quadra-Trac 4x4 system. This setup delivers 268bhp and 400Nm of torque in its current state.
Since the Jeep Grand Cherokee is picking up pace quite slowly, this updated version is not expected to hit Indian shores anytime soon. The brand will try to push the sales of its current-gen model first to find out if the updated model makes sense for the Indian market. In the same line of action, Jeep is also offering discounts of up to Rs. 12 lakhs.
Verdict
The updated Grand Cherokee promises to build upon the reputation of the SUV, with some bold updates and rich set of features. While it is getting both mehcnaical and tech boost overseas, its launch as a whole for the Indian market could be a litte far away in future, as indicated by its current sales trajectory.
