2025 Lamborghini Urus SE Launched At 4.57 Cr : The Bull Goes Hybrid

The Lamborghini Urus SE has been unveiled in India at Rs 4.57 cr, marking it as the first plug-in hybrid car from the Italian automaker and the first plug-in hybrid super SUV in India. Delivering 799 PS and 800 Nm of torque, it accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 3.4 seconds and from 0 to 200 km/h in 11.2 seconds, all managed by an 8-speed automatic transmission.

Additionally, the top speed is 312 km/h. The Urus SE features fresh updates to the front and rear, with the main highlight being the 25.9 kWh lithium-ion battery, which offers a range of 60 km on battery power alone.

Lamborghini Urus SE Powertrain

The 4.0 L twin-turbo V8 receives additional support from a 25.9 kWh lithium-ion battery, which produces 189 PS and 483 Nm of torque. As a result, the overall output is 799 PS and 800 Nm of torque. To put it into perspective, the Urus S makes 657 PS and 627 Nm of torque. The battery is situated above the rear differential, and the automaker claims that in EV mode alone, this super SUV can travel 60 km

Additionally, the weight ratio has been progressively improved from the Urus S, going from 3.3 kg/PS to 3.13 kg/PS, allowing it to achieve a top speed of 312 km/h, which is 7 km/h faster.

The new plug-in-hyrbid Urus comes with redesigned front and rear bumper and the front grille, floating hood, and brand new LED matrix headlights which the brand says is insipired from tail of their bull in the logo. In the rear, Lamborghini has introduced gallardo inspired cargo compartment, with Y-shape LED tail lamps, and new diffusers, along with quad core exhaust. To add more, the company says, the styling changes increases the downforce by 35 percent, better than Urus S.

Two new paint options are introduced for the Urus SE: Arancio Apodis (Orange) and Bianco Sappirus (White). Additionally, there are 100 other paint options to choose from, and 47 color combinations are available for the interior

The Urus SE wears 23-inch Galanthus rims paired with Pirelli P Zero tires, and customers can also choose 21-inch wheels. The interior of the Lamborghini Urus SE features a 12.3-inch infotainment display in a pilot-like cockpit. Down in the center are the six driving modes, which are:

  • Corsa
  • Neve
  • Sabbia

Verdict

The Lamborghini Urus has also gone hybrid, joining the ranks of the Porsche Cayenne Hybrid and Ferrari Purosangue. The new version not only features styling updates inspired by the V12 Lamborghini Revuelto but also offers enhanced efficiency, providing a range of 60 km. Additionally, it delivers impressive performance as a quick SUV. The introductory price of this vehicle is Rs 4.57 crore.
