1. Same Battery But Longer Range

2. Faster Than The Ather 450
Equipped with a motor capable of delivering 7kW of peak power, the Ather 450 Apex stands out in the brand's lineup by featuring the exclusive Warp+ mode. This unique mode enables an impressive 0-40kph acceleration time of merely 2.9 seconds, surpassing the 450X. Furthermore, the 450 Apex is the sole Ather electric vehicle that achieves a claimed top speed of 100kph in this high-performance mode.
3. Magic Twist: A Braking Twist
Ather introduces an innovative feature called 'Magic Twist' on the 450 Apex, allowing riders to effortlessly decelerate the e-scooter by twisting the accelerator 15 degrees backward without utilizing the brakes. This smart addition enhances the overall riding experience, offering a convenient and intuitive way to control the vehicle's speed.
4. Same Dimensions, Same Design
While the 450 Apex maintains consistency with the 450 platforms in terms of seat height, wheelbase, tyre sizes, and ground clearance, it introduces a notable innovation with the debut of the enclosed belt drive system. This feature is a noteworthy addition that sets the Apex apart, and it is anticipated to become a standard across all future Ather models.
5. Pricing Difference
Priced at Rs 1.89 lakh (ex-showroom, xx), the Ather 450 Apex comes with a premium of Rs 21,000 compared to the top-spec 450X equipped with the 3.7kWh battery and Pro pack.
Verdict
While the pricing places it the Apex at higher end of the spectrum, Ather positions the 450 Apex more as a passion project rather than a commercially targeted model. Production will be limited according to demand, and Ather plans to manufacture the Apex up to October 2024. Bookings are now open, with deliveries scheduled to commence in March 2024.
