Bajaj Auto Limited, the homegrown two- and three-wheeler manufacturer, has announced that its Maxima C three-wheeler cargo hauler has become the highest-selling model in its segment with a market share of 45 per cent in April 2021 to November 2021 period. The Bajaj Maxima C has been around for 6 years now and it's the first time it has attained the numero uno status on the sales charts.

Speaking about the success of the Maxima Cargo, Mr. Samardeep Subandh, President, Intra-City Business, said, Bajaj Maxima Cs unmatched product strengths of reliability, power and frugality coupled with Bajaj Autos strong financing strength, Dealer Network and manufacturing ability have ensured quick scale-up of the proposition even during the tough pandemic time. As per Bajaj Auto Ltd, the Maxima C has gained popularity in both rural and urban sectors, with buyers appreciating its reliability, performance and fuel efficiency. Also, with buyers fast-moving from diesel to CNG products, Bajaj, which has been among the pioneers of CNG-powered commercial vehicles, has clearly benefitted from the trend. The lower running costs of CNG vehicles have clearly played a role in attracting buyers away from diesel models.

However, in order to help buyers choose as per their exact requirements, the Bajaj Maxima C is available in both CNG and Diesel variants. The former offers a maximum power of 7.30 kW at 4,750 RPM, while the diesel version comes with a 470.5 cc engine that produces a maximum power of 6.74 kw at 3,400 rpm along with a peak torque of 23.18 Nm at 2,000 rpm.
