Tata Motors is expected to unveil the highly awaited Nexon facelift on September 14th. While the official announcement of the date from the brand is still pending, numerous speculations have surfaced regarding the upcoming facelift. As we approach the launch, details regarding the distinctive features of each variant of the upcoming SUV have been disclosed. Tata Nexon Variant Names
The upcoming Nexon facelift is introducing a fresh nomenclature for its variants and trims. The updated names will include Smart, Pure, Creative, and Fearless. These primary variants will then be segmented into additional trims like Smart+, Pure+, Creative+, and so forth. This shift in variant names and trims will remove the current naming system that encompasses XM, XT, XZ, and other variants.
Tata Nexon Base Variant - Smart
As per recent reports, the base variant in the lineup is expected to be the Smart variant, featuring a number of trims: Smart, Smart+, and Smart+(S). The inclusion of a '+' indicates an optional version that will incorporate supplementary features compared to the initial trim. Meanwhile, the 'S' signifies the inclusion of a solitary-pane sunroof in that specific variant, augmenting the features already present in the optional trim. Noteworthy among the features, the Smart variant series will include manual climate control, fabric upholstery for the seats, steel wheels, a 4-inch LCD MID, ESP, ABS, and a comprehensive safety suite including 6 airbags, among other offerings.

The potential optional trim known as Smart+, could potentially incorporate LED lighting, a 7-inch touchscreen display, wheel covers, rear power windows, steering-mounted controls, and electrically adjustable ORVMs. Finally, the Smart+(S) variant is anticipated to encompass all these features in addition to a single-pane sunroof.
Tata Nexon Mid Variants - Pure+ & Creative
The mid variants of the lineup will be loaded with some substantial features such as the full-LED headlamps, a connected LED tail-lamp strip, roof rails, electrically adjustable and foldable ORVMs, single pane electric sunroof, 16-inch wheels with covers. On the inside, these variants will get dual tone treatment for seats and dashboard finish, soft-touch door pads, and rear AC vents contribute to the interior's appeal.
Shifting our focus to the Creative variant, it is set to feature two distinct trims: Creative and Creative+. The Creative iteration is rumored to showcase 16-inch alloy wheels, LED sequential turn indicators, automatic climate control, a rear wiper with washer and defogger. Additionally, the interior could potentially feature a leather-wrapped steering wheel and gear knob, an auto-dimming IRVM, automatic climate control, a cooled glove box, TPMS, and a height-adjustable driver seat, among other offerings.
In contrast, the Creative+ variant is anticipated to incorporate a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system with wireless connectivity, a 360-degree camera, cruise control, and various other features.
Tata Punch Top Variant - Fearless
The highest-tier Fearless variant is poised to include a comprehensive set of features. These include a 10.25-inch full digital instrument cluster, a wireless charger, express cooling functionality, a steering wheel wrapped in leather, an air purifier, and a driver's side power window with one-touch up/down capability. Notably, it will feature a sequential LED welcome signature and fog lamps with cornering functionality.
On the other hand, the Nexon Fearless+ variant is anticipated to boast leatherette upholstery, a premium sound system equipped with a 10.25-inch touchscreen display with a slim bezel, ventilated front seats, subwoofer, and a Moreover, it will integrate connected car technology with over-the-air (OTA) updates to enhance its capabilities.

Tata Nexon Facelift Powertrain
The powertrain options will consist of a 1.2-liter turbocharged petrol engine, producing 123 bhp and 225 Nm of torque. Additionally, the lineup includes a 1.5-liter turbocharged diesel engine that generates 108 bhp and 260 Nm of torque. Both these powertrains provide the flexibility of a 6-speed manual transmission or an automated manual transmission (AMT). These transmissions are complemented by three distinct driving modes: Eco, City, and Sport. Moreover, there are ongoing reports suggesting that the facelift might introduce a 5-speed manual transmission for the base variants, and a 7-speed dual-clutch transmission (DCT) for the higher-end models.
