Fiat entered the Indian market in 1997 with cars such the Uno and later the Punto. The company soon tasted success on the Indian soil and went on to launch other products in the market. In the coming years, the company launched the cars such as the Fiat Siena Weekend, which offered the comfort levels of a sedan and yet was highly practical. In our this sequel of Walking Down The Memory Lane, we have Fiat Siena Weekend brochure images for you. So ladies and gentlemen, before we start our journey, we would like to thank Sid for sharing these wonderful images with us.
Based on the Siena sedan, the Fiat Weekend was positioned as the more practical and spacious car in the market. The Siena Weekend, just like the car it was based upon, came with a functional and an attractive dashboard layout, and a comfortable ride and handling balance which made it a better product when compared to its rivals.

The large boot at the back meant added cargo-carrying capacity. There was lots of space in the boot and the rear seat experience was great as well. The car carried a subtle design language and lacked any aggressive cuts and creases. The front fascia looked elegant, and at the same time, was distinctive enough to attract the attention of the people passing by. The roof rails and the extended boot of the car made it look robust and bold.
While the car scored high in terms of in-cabin space and experience, the brand had given extra attention in making it a safe vehicle. A close look at the Fiat Siena Weekend brochure reveals that the car had all the advanced safety features. The list includes many modern features and systems such as driver-side airbag, ABS, energy-absorbing body structure, etc. The Fiat Siena was one of the safest and the best-built cars back in those days.
The Fiat Siena Weekend came with two engine options - 1.5-L petrol and a 1.7-L turbo diesel engine. Both these engines came mated to a 5-Speed manual gearbox and were supremely refined. While the petrol-powered models of the Siena weekend were not very impressive, it was the diesel engine which was prefered by the masses because of better fuel efficiency and power output.
