Hyundai Creta EV

Last Updated On 3rd Jan'25: Hyundai Motor India has revealed the upcoming Creta Electric ahead of its official launch on 16 January. The Creta EV will get two battery pack options: 42 kWh and 51.4 kWh, offering a range of up to 473 km on a single charge. Additionally, it will be available in 4 variants. The Creta EV will boast some EV-specific changes on the exterior and interior. 

Design: The Hyundai Creta EV will boast some EV-specific changes on the exterior, such as a closed front grille with pixelated graphics and an integrated charging port. The rear bumper also gets a pixelated graphic bumper and LED tail lamps. The front also gets Active Air Flaps (AAF) to manage the airflow, help cool the vehicle components, and improve aerodynamic performance. The Creta EV will be equipped with 17-inch aero alloys and low rolling resistance tyres.

Performance: The upcoming Creta EV will be powered by two different battery packs. The smaller 42 kWh battery pack will offer a claimed range of 390 km and the bigger 51.4 kWh battery pack will offer 473 km of range on a full charge. Moreover, the brand claims that the EV can sprint from 0-100 kmph in 7.9 seconds. The EV can be charged from 10% to 80% in just 58 minutes (DC charging), while the 11kW Smart Connected Wall charger can charge from 10%-100% in 4 hours.

Colour & Variants: Hyundai will launch the Creta in 10 colour and 4 variants. Among these 4 variants, two will get the smaller battery pack and the other two will get the bigger battery pack. The colour options will be divided into metallic shades, matte shades, and dual-tone options. 

Features: On the features front, the Creta EV will get a 10-inch touchscreen infotainment, a 10-inch digital instrument console, V2L, i-Pedal technology, digital key, ADAS, and other features similar to the ICE variant. 

Price & Rivals: The Hyundai Creta EV is expected to be priced in the range of Rs 18 to 22 lakh (Ex-showroom). It will compete with the MG ZS EV, Mahindra BE 6, and the Tata Curvv EV.
