Higher Spec Ather 450X Super Scooter To be Revealed Soon

Ather announces it's newest intelligent, electric scooter - Ather 450X 

Its been well over a year since Ather started manufacturing its first electric scooter- the Ather 450, from its manufacturing plant in Bangalore. The company has since accumulated 5.5 million km of on-road ride data under its belt and has been using it to improve the 450. For example, the 450 has seen new ride modes and lots of new features via 6 OTA (over-the-air) upgrades offered by Ather till now.

The company though, which has pretty much set the benchmark for premium electric scooters, has now decided to one-up its own product with the launch of the 450X. The 450X will sport better performance, better connectivity and more intelligence than ever. In short, it's everything that an electric scooter should be.

You can expect the 450X to promise a 0-40 dash in around 3.5 seconds with a higher top speed of around 100km/hr. The scooter will also beat the older 450 in terms of range, going much higher than the 75km range of the current model. The company must have also used the data collected to improve the UI of the touchscreen, along with improvements in software and rideability of the scooter.

Let's not forget that the Ather 450 had 43 IoT sensors fitted into each scooter, enabling it to obtain granular information on every aspect of the driver experience which will be definitely used by the company to make improvements to its scooter.

To achieve better performance, the new 450X will probably get a bigger battery that will also see the super scooter get a price bump as compared to the older 450. Bookings are already open on the official website.

The Ather 450X promises to beat or even "outclass" the most premium scooters out there in the Indian market like the TVS Ntorq and the Aprilla SR 150 in terms of both performance and features. The older 450 already boasted features like the 7-inch TFT touch screen, the remote diagnostics, the cloud connectivity along with a pre-loaded GPS and GSM connectivity that gives you real time satellite location and access to the fastest routes as well as charging stations on the Ather grid. These features along with improvements are bound to be passed on to the 450X accompanied by a bigger punch in performance and speed.
