HOP OXO 100 vs Rivals: Battery & Electric Motor Comparison
The first and foremost element for any EV remains its battery pack and the electric motor combination. The OXO 100 has been equipped with a 72V architecture, and a 3.72kWh battery pack. This combination is capable to generate a peak torque of up to 200 Nm. Additionally, the company claims that it can charge from 0-80 percent under just 4 hours. However, the maximum riding range that is claimed remains 150 km. Additionally, it is the ideal riding range and hence the actual riding range might be affected.
Speaking of the Revolt RV400, it comes equipped with a 3.24kWh battery pack. It also has a 72V architecture and a 3kW electric motor. However, it produces only 170 Nm of peak torque which is less than the OXO. Additionally, the RV400 claims to complete an ideal riding range of up to 150 km per charge. Its 0-80 percent charging time is also under 4 hours.
However, the Oben Rorr is equipped with a bigger electric motor and battery pack. The use of a 4.4kWh battery and a 10kW BMS motor makes it one of the most powerful among the competition. Additionally, it has a claimed ideal riding range of up to 200 km which is significantly higher than its rivals. Additionally, it only takes 2 hours to completely charge the Oben Rorr.
Features Comparison
After the battery pack and riding range, it is the features that are the limelight of any EV. The HOP OXO 100 equips all the necessary bits required to make it feel futuristic. It comes with a 5-inch touchscreen instrument console. This is also IP67 rated which means that it can easily withstand the harsh Indian weather. Additionally, features like 4 riding modes, Bluetooth connectivity, etc., are also offered along with it. In fact, the company has also provided it with a smartphone app that helps in anti-theft, speed control, geo-fencing, and ride stats as well.
The Revolt RV400 on the other hand is one of the most equipped bikes in this comparison. How? Well, it comes with an inbuilt riding sound system that can create up to 4 types of customizable exhaust notes. However, none of the other bikes have this in them. Additionally, it gets onboard diagnostic tools, geo-fencing for anti-theft, Bluetooth connectivity, Start/Stop function, etc.
The Oben Rorr has also been equipped with 4G connectivity, Bluetooth, and Turn-by-Turn Navigation. Additionally, it comes with various riding modes that can switch the bike into a real performer within a second. Meanwhile, the basic features like geo-tagging, geo-fencing, battery theft protection, charging locator, and driver alert are also available as standard.
Hardware Comparison: Brakes & Suspension
The suspension of Hop Oxo and the Revolt RV400 are similar in terms of specifications. Both of the models equip a telescopic front suspension and dual shock-absorbers at the rear as standard. However, it is the Oben that has a monoshock suspension at the rear hence making it better equipped.
Meanwhile, the brakes are similar on all three bikes. All of them use petal disc brakes and a combined braking system as standard. However, Oben is the only one that does not get regenerative braking. The Oxo and RV400, both, come equipped with regen braking as standard. This is a big miss out on the Oben for sure that customers are not going to like.
Price & Variants Comparison
In all of the three rivals, it is the HOP that remains the most pricey. It is being offered in two variants that are priced at Rs 1.25-1.40 lakh (including the FAME II subsidy).
However, the Revolt RV400 comes with only a single variant and it is priced at a relatively cheaper rate. It costs Rs 1,24,999 (including the FAME II subsidy) to own the RV400.
The Oben Rorr comes with the cheapest price tag. It is available in a single variant only at Rs 1,02,999 (including the FAME II subsidy).
