Hyundai Motor India Limited (HMIL) has introduced a minor update for its mid-sized sedan Verna. The brand has launched a new Amazon Grey colour option for the Verna. Moreover, the brand has also added a new rear spoiler for the sedan. The brand has added a flair of sportiness with the new rear spoiler and increased the pricing by Rs 4,000 across the trim. Hyundai Verna Updates
With the addition of the new colour option in the lineup, the Verna is now available in 8 monotone colour options including the Amazon Grey colour and two dual-tone colour options. Moreover, the addition of the new rear spoiler is aimed to enhance its fastback design language.
The Verna comes with a plethora of safety and convenience features. It comes with a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment, an electric sunroof, ventilated front seats, 64 colour ambient lighting, BOSE premium sound system among other features. On the safety front, the sedan comes with 6-airbags, ISOFIX, ESC, VSM, and HAC as standard across all trims. Additionally, it gets features like level 2 ADAS and boasts a 5-star Global NCAP crash test rating.
The Verna is available in two petrol engine options mated with both manual and automatic transmission options. The first option is the 1.5-litre naturally aspirated petrol engine producing 115 PS of power and 143.8 Nm of peak torque. This engine is mated with a 6-speed manual and an IVT gearbox. The other engine option is the 1.5-litre turbocharged petrol engine producing 160 PS of power and 253 Nm of peak torque. Customers can choose between a 6-speed manual or a 7-speed DCT gearbox for this engine.

Verdict
The rivals of the Hyundai Verna has been recently been updated with new versions and colour options. The Verna now offers a new color option to enhance its competitiveness in the segment. A new rear spoiler has been added to give the sedan a sportier look. The Hyundai Verna competes with the Skoda Slavia and Volkswagen Virtus.
