Land Rover has brought in the Metropolitan edition of the Discovery Sport at a price of Rs 1.26 crore, ex-showroom, Delhi. It is available with both petrol and diesel engine options and the bookings are commenced at the nearest Jaguar Land Rover dealerships.
This new Metropolitan Editon is based on the facelifted Discovery Sport and gets some cosmetic changes to differentiate it from the standard version. Based on the top of the line, HSE R-Dynamic, this model gets bright atlas paint scheme on the grille that is further in contrast with the Hakuba silver lower bumper inserts.
The new Metropolitan Edition also gets 20-inch dark grey wheels with black Land Rover brake callipers that enhances its look from the standard version. Inside, it receives a panoramic sunroof with a sliding front part. Feature-wise, it is equipped with a 12.3-inch driver interactive display, wireless charging with phone signal boosters, four-zone climate control and more.
Other features of this SUV include a heated steering wheel, front cooler apartment, heated and cooled rear seats, powered seat recline and it also gets Land Rover's advanced cabin air purification with PM2.5 air filtration that monitors the air quality and eliminated the harmful particles.
This Metropolitan Edition of the Discovery Sport is available with two engine options - D300 diesel that puts out as much as 298 bhp of power on tap with a peak torque of 650 Nm and a P360 petrol mild-hybrid unit that churns out 358 bhp of power with a healthy torque of 500 Nm. Both the engines are mated to an 8-speed automatic transmission and also get an all-wheel-drive system with terrain response.
