Mahindra 3XO Unofficial Bookings Open
The XUV300 is shedding its moniker along with its now aging interiors for the upcoming facelift named the Mahindra 3XO. After multiple teasers when you already know quite a lot about what's coming, the dealerships across the country have started taking unofficial bookings. If you are planning to take one for yourself, you're better off booking it at the earliest.
Recent teasers have offered a shining glimpse of the upcoming Mahindra XUV 3XO. The front takes center stage with a revamped fascia sporting a glossy black grille complemented by redesigned LED headlamps. These headlights hint at a possible design inspiration drawn from the popular XUV700, especially those C-shaped DRLs. The teaser also gives us a peek at the updated alloy wheels, while the rear showcases a revision with connected LED taillights and a refreshed tailgate proudly displaying the "XUV 3XO" badge.
Interior And Features: Something For Rivals To Envy
The XUV 3XO's cabin is set for a major transformation, mirroring the sophisticated layout of the XUV400 EV. Expect a completely redesigned interior anchored by a likely 10.25-inch floating infotainment touchscreen. An updated center console promises enhanced utility, while the XUV 3XO will be a trendsetter with some segment-first features including a panoramic sunroof.
Moving past this, the XUV 3XO will pamper occupants with a slew of tech like a digital driver's display, dual-zone climate control with remote access via connected car tech, Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, 7-speaker Harman Kardon audio system, ventilated front seats, Type-C USB ports for faster charging, and a wireless phone charger for added convenience. Since Mahindra XUV300 is already a 5-star rated GNCAP SUV, the inclusion of ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) with this update is highly likely. This will be accompanied by essential features like multiple airbags ( up to six), ABS with EBD (Electronic Brakeforce Distribution), and electronic stability control for greater peace of mind on the road.

Mahindra 3XO Engine Options: Plenty But The Usual
The XUV 3XO is likely to carry over the familiar powertrain options from its predecessor. This means you'll get a 1.2-liter turbo-petrol engine churning out 110 PS, a more potent 1.2-liter T-GDI turbo-petrol with 130 PS, and a 1.5-liter diesel engine offering 117 PS. A 6-speed manual and a 6-speed torque converter automatic transmission will be the gearbox options. Interstingly, Mahindra has revealed the ARAI-certified mileage of this SUV that stands at a good 20.1 kmpl.
Verdict
Mahindra 3XO when launched will stir up the segment in a big way. While the XUV300 ws struggling with sluggish sales, a domino effect of the aging interiors along with the rivals continually updating themselves, the 3XO is aiming to turn the tables upside down. While looking at what all it has to offer, that doesn't seem like it's just a wish at all.
