Mahindra launched the XUV300 Turbo Sport a few days ago and the bookings for the same are now open. Interestingly, the deliveries too of the product have begun immediately. The XUV300 TurboSport is the fastest compact SUV in the segment for now.
Mechanically, it is powered by a 1.2-litre, three-cylinder, turbocharged petrol engine. This motor belts out 128 bhp of power with a peak torque of 230 Nm. This C-SUV also gets a best-in-class engine transient over-boost function that gives a momentary peak torque of 250 Nm.
Performance-wise, 0 to 60 kmph is achieved in just 5 seconds. This motor gets mated to a six-speed manual transmission for now. There is no automatic gearbox for now but we do expect an AT unit after a few months.

Design-wise, it retains the silhouette of the regular XUV300, however, there are some changes made that give this performance SUV a rugged look. It gets all-black ORVMs, an all-black leatherette interior, red grille inserts, chrome-finish pedals and more.
Feature-wise, it is equipped with dual-zone climate control, an electric sunroof, a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, electrically adjustable and retractable ORVMs, projector headlights, LED daytime running lights, LED taillights and more.
On the safety front, this SUV is the safest compact SUV in the segment. It scored 5 stars at the Global NCAP crash test. It gets six airbags, an anti-lock braking system with electronic brake force distribution, traction control, hill hold assist, electronic stability control and more.
