MG Majestor Exterior: A More Premium-Looking Version Of Gloster
The MG Gloster debuted in India as a rebadged version of the Maxus D90 Chinese SUV from SAIC. And now, the globally available facelifted version of the Maxus D90 has been presented as the MG Gloster.
Compared to the Gloster, the MG Majestor has a more butch-looking fascia, with a gloss-black rectangular grille with similar black surrounds. Even the front bumper looks refreshed and gets a new split headlamp assembly, comprising vertically aligned all-LED headlamps and sleeker-looking LED DRL eyebrows above them. The side profile of the MG Majestor looks the same as that of the Gloster, with the only difference here being a new five-spoke design for the 19-inch machined alloy wheels.
The rear profile has been restyled significantly, with the Majestor getting more prominent and wider-looking all-LED tail lamps with connected LED bars across the boots width. The rear bumper also looks different with subtler-looking dual exhaust ports having chrome surrounds.

MG Majestor Interior: Expected To Look Different Than Glosters
While MG didnt reveal the interior of the Majestor at the Auto Expo 2025 display, the cabin might be shared with the Maxus D90 facelift available overseas. Expect the interior of the Majestor to have a revised dashboard with a new 12.3-inch free-standing infotainment system, a new full-TFT instrument console, a new steering wheel and a revised centre console.
Many other features of the already-available Gloster, including a panoramic sunroof, powered and ventilated front seats, wireless charger, level-2 ADAS, three-zone automatic climate control with rear AC vents, a powered tailgate and a 12-speaker audio system, are expected to be retained in the Gloster. However, there is a possibility that the Majestor might get a few additional features.

MG Majestor Engine And Transmission: Might Retain The Now-Familiar Diesel
MG also didnt disclose the powertrain specifications of the Majestor. However, expect it to share the 2.0-litre twin-turbocharged diesel engine and the 8-speed automatic transmission with the Gloster. This engine claims 216 bhp and 480 Nm in the Gloster, and it is expected that these figures might remain unchanged in the Majestor.
Verdict:
MG has also showcased the currently available Gloster at the ongoing Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025. So, it is likely that the new MG Majestor might be positioned alongside the Gloster as a more premium iteration of the latter just like how the Fortuner Legender sits above the regular Fortuner in Toyota Indias lineup. With the revisions and an expected higher pricing over the Gloster, the Majestor should appeal more than the former.
