Nissan Motor India recently introduced the 2024 Nissan Magnite, or the facelifted Magnite, in India. The updated version is priced at Rs. 5.99 lakh (Introductory, ex-showroom) in our region. The company kept the price tag of the new Magnite the same as the previous gen model. But the latest news might disappoint you a bit, but it's how things go for the automakers. The Nissan Magnite facelift introductory prices are about to come to an end and after that, the model will get a 2 per cent price hike for each model. How Much Price Hike and When?

However, the company has not mentioned any specific date for the price hike yet, we can expect the model to get costlier by two per cent from the beginning of 2025. The Nissan Magnite facelift has again proved a success for the company as they have sold over 10,000 units of the sub-compact SUV in a short duration of two months.

Nissan Magnite Facelift: Powertrain

The Nissan Magnite facelift has not received any mechanical updates. It still gets the same engine options- a 1.0 litre turbocharged petrol engine and a 1.0 litre NA petrol engine. The Magnite turbo gets a five-speed manual and a CVT gearbox whereas the non-turbo variant is available and gets an AMT instead of a CVT automatic.   • 1.0-litre Turbo-charged engine: 98 bhp and 160 Nm
  • 1.0 litre Naturally Aspirated engine: 71 bhp and 96 Nm

The new Nissan Magnite gets features such as an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system, and a 7-inch digital instrument cluster. Other features on offer with the new Magnite include an Arkamys music system, single pane sunroof, remote start and auto lock approach unlock.

Verdict

The 2024 Nissan Magnite facelift continues to offer excellent value with no increase in its introductory price, but a 2 percent hike is expected soon. While it retains the same engine options and powertrains, the updated features, such as the 8-inch touchscreen and digital instrument cluster, keep it competitive in the sub-compact SUV segment. Overall, it remains a solid choice for budget-conscious buyers.
