Tata Nexon EV Gets Bigger 45 kWh Battery Pack, Offers 489 Km Range - Priced At Rs 13.99 Lakh

Tata Motors has launched the Nexon EV with a bigger and better battery pack option. The Nexon EV is now available with a 45kWh battery pack, offering a claimed range of 489 km. The brand has launched a new battery pack option with enhanced cells, better energy density and enhanced range and charging time. Tata Nexon EV 45 kWh Trims & Pricing

The newly launched Nexon.ev 45 variant comes in 4 trims Creative, Fearless, Empowerd, and Empowered Plus. The price of the new 45 kWh battery pack version starts at Rs 13.99 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs 16.99 lakh (ex-showroom).

**All the prices mentioned above are all India ex-showroom prices. The Dark Edition is available at an additional cost of Rs 20,000.

Tata Nexon EV 45 kWh Specs

The newly launched 45 kWh battery pack version comes with enhanced battery performance. It gets 15% high energy density and class class-leading volumetric density of 186 wh/lit. Moreover, this new battery pack gives a claimed range of 489 km on a single charge and a real-world range of 350-370 km. If we talk about the performance, this variant generates 110 kW of power and 2500 Nm of wheel torque. The EV can sprint from 0-100 km/h in 8.9 seconds and get s atop speed of 150 km/h.

If we talk about the charging time, this battery pack supports fast charging rate of 1.2C and can be charged from 10-80% in 40 minutes using a 60 kW or bigger charger. Also, customers can get a range of up to 130 km in just 15 mins of charge.

Tata Nexon EV 45 kWh Features

With the addition of a bigger battery pack, the brand has also added some new features to the vehicle. The Nexon EV 45 kWh version comes with a voice-assisted panoramic sunroof, V2L/V2V technology, 12.3-inch touchscreen infotainment system, ventilated front seats, JBL Cinematic sound system, Arcade.ev App suite, frunk for additional storage, 360-degree camera with blind view monitor, front parking sensors, and wireless charging among other features.

On the safety front, the EV gets front and rear parking sensors, 6-airbags, electric parking brake with auto hold, all-4 disc brakes, regenerative braking via paddle shifters, ESP, hill-hold, iTPMS among other features.
