Just recently, Tata Motors launched the Tiago EV and it has caught a lot of attention, thanks to the supreme pricing. It is the most affordable EV in the country that your money can buy. Ahead of that, Tata is all set to re-introduce the Tigor EV with more features (some to be gained from Tiago EV) and it will be launched this month as per our sources.
Features like cruise control and re-gen modes that are seen in the Tiago EV will soon make their way to Tigor EV. All the existing Tigor EV owners too will be able to enjoy this via a software update. Just like the features update via software that were done in the Nexon EV Prime, this time too, it will be free of cost and can be done at any authorised Tata service centre.
However, the hardware switches needed for the re-gen as well as cruise control might be chargeable. That cost will be borne by the customer. Tigor EV will also gain other features like rain-sensing wipers, auto headlights, leatherette upholstery (limited to top-spec variant only) and more such things.

Tigor EV gets a 26 kWh battery pack that pumps out a peak power and torque of 74 bhp and 170 Nm, respectively. The certified driving range sticks to 306 km and the battery can be fully charged in under 9 hours. The bootspace of the electric sedan sticks to 306 litres.
We also expect that Tigor EV might get the 7.2kWh AC charger that can juice up the battery at a faster pace. The battery pack of this electric sedan gets a standard warranty of 8 years or 1,60,000 km, whichever is at the earliest.
Feature-wise, Tigor EV is equipped with a touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, automatic climate control, push-button start/stop, power folding ORVMs and more. Safety features include ABS with EBD, dual-front airbags, hill hold control, rear parking sensors, hill descent control and more.
