Volvo India has recently confirmed that it will launch the Volvo EX30 in India. Volvo EX30 has been a great success for the Swedish automaker internationally. The success of the EX30 abroad could be one of the reasons for its India debut. The Volvo EX30 is based on the Geely SEA (Sustainable Experience Architecture) platform. Volvo EX30: Design and Features
As far as the features are concerned, the EX30 will feature the signature Thor's Hammer headlamp design, refreshed front and rear bumpers, blanked--grille, 20-inch aero-focused wheels, vertically-stacked LED taillights and flared wheel arches.
The upcoming EX30 will get features such as a 12.3-inch vertically positioned infotainment system with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The electric SUV will be available in four interior theme options. Apart from this, the EX30's upholstery and finishes will be made with renewable materials.
Volvo EX30: Powertrain
The Volvo EX30 will get its power from a 69kWh battery pack, paired with dual electric motors. This powerhouse will generate a combined output of 442 bhp and a peak torque of 542 Nm. Talking about the acceleration, the electric SUV sprints from 0-100 kmph in just 3.4 seconds.
Charging Time and Range
The EX30 will get charger options of up to 153kW. The one with 153 kW output charges this E-SUV from 0-80 per cent in 26 minutes. On a single charge, the EX30 will deliver a range of 474 km.
Volvo EX30: Price, Variants and Rivals
The EX30 is expected to come in India with a starting price tag of Rs. 40 lakh, going up to 50 lakh (ex-showroom). The company will expectedly launch the EX30 in a sole fully loaded variant. Presently, there are no direct rivals of the Volvo EX30 in India. However, there are possibilities that BYD will capture this segment in the upcoming times.
