BYD Sealion 7 Latest Update
Last Update On 24th Jan'25: The BYD Sealion 7 has been revealed at the Bharat Mobility Show 2025 where it carries a sleek and fluidic coupe-style design carrying the Ocean Series Design language, improving upon the Sealion 6 in many ways. While it gets a single battery option, you get varied performance numbers with the two variants on offer. While bookings are already open at Rs. 70,000, the final pricing will be revealed on February 17.
Design: The Sealion 7 follows the Ocean Series Design Language, with a bold, aggressive look highlighted by its pronounced bumpers at both ends while maintaining a sleek and refined profile. The design shares some visual cues with the Sealion 6 heritage, especially in its coupe-SUV body style. The roofline gently slopes toward the rear, giving it a muscular yet elegant presence. Its headlights and taillights echo those of the Seal sedan, with the same distinctive connected tail light design adding a cohesive touch.
Range And Battery: The Sealion 7 comes in two versions: Premium and Performance. Both are equipped with the same 82.5kWh LFP Blade battery, offering a range of 567km on a full charge for the Premium variant and 542km for the Performance model, according to MIDC estimates, a difference due to their distinct state of tuning.
Performance: The Sealion 7 is offered with two variants namely Premium and Performance. The Premium is rear-wheel drive, delivering 300hp and 380Nm of torque, with a 0-100 km/h time of 6.7 seconds. On the other hand, the Performance model is all-wheel drive, pushing out 522hp and 690Nm of torque, and can accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in just 4.5 seconds.
Features: Inside, the Sealion 7 stands apart from the Seal with a host of premium features. It boasts a 15.6-inch infotainment touchscreen and a 10.25-inch digital instrument cluster. The cabin is designed for comfort, with power-adjustable seats and a 12-speaker sound system. Convenience features like keyless entry/exit, a panoramic glass roof, and a 360-degree camera enhance the driving experience. Plus, it comes equipped with a comprehensive ADAS suite for added safety.
Launch & Pricing Expectations: The BYD Sealion 7 bookings are currently open at Rs. 70,000 where the brand will put in equal amount as well for a limited time. As for its launch, the price will be revealed on February 17 with an expected price tag of around Rs. 50 lakhs.
