Volvo India has renamed its Volvo XC40 Recharge and C40 Recharge models to EX40 and EC40, respectively, to better align with other electric models like the EX30, EX90, and EM90. Volvo India: New Updates
This year, Volvo is introducing three new fully electric models: the EX30, EX90, and EM90. This addition will bring the total number of fully electric options in their lineup to five, and there are more new models in the pipeline.
In an effort to simplify things for customers, Volvo is also updating its naming convention. They're ditching the "Recharge" badge for plug-in hybrid models and instead using the T6 or T8 suffix to indicate power output levels.

Volvo XC40 Recharge And C40 Recharge: New Performance Software Pack Introduced
Volvo is introducing a new Performance software pack for the EX40 and EC40 Twin Motor variants, and it's also available as an upgrade for select previous model years.
This pack increases power output by 25kW for faster acceleration and includes unique pedal mapping and a 'Performance' drive mode for the full 325kW experience. In eligible markets, the software can be added via the Volvo Cars app when ordering a new car.
Previous model year C40 and fully electric XC40 Recharge owners can easily purchase and download the software from home.
Volvo Special Black Edition Of The EX40, EC40 And The XC40
Volvo is making improvements across its hybrid lineup, with more efficient engines in the B5 mild hybrid XC60 and XC90 models, promising up to a 4% and 2% increase in fuel economy respectively.
They're also introducing a stylish Black Edition for the EC40, EX40, and XC40, featuring sleek black paint, glossy black badging, and 20-inch black alloys.
These models also offer Google integration and smart interior storage. The electric EC40 and EX40 boast impressive ranges of up to 583 and 576 kilometers respectively.
