Latest On KTM RC 125 2020
KTM is a very popular two-wheeler manufacturer in the Indian market. The company has always been known for making fantastic performance-oriented affordable motorcycles. KTM ventured into the Indian market in the year 2012 in partnership with Bajaj Auto. Currently, India’s Bajaj Auto owns a major stake in this Austrian two-wheeler manufacturing company. KTM made its India debut with the Duke 200 and it became an instant hit. Over the years, the company has launched several naked streetfighter motorcycles under the Duke series and supersport bikes under the RC brand. However, they weren’t very suitable for amateurs or new young riders.
So, in 2018, KTM finally launched its smallest and most affordable motorcycle in the country. The KTM Duke 125 was first launched in the Indian market in November 2018 and thanks to its affordable pricing, it garnered very good sales numbers for the company. However, with the passage of time, its sales dwindled as apart from the BS6 update, the Duke 125 didn’t receive any other update in its first three years of launch. But finally, KTM comprehensively updated this motorcycle and the new KTM Duke 125 was launched in December 2020. The new Duke 125 gets a complete makeover and features striking looks but the same powertrain and features.

Pros & Cons of KTM RC 125 2020
KTM RC 125 2020 Detailed Review
The new KTM Duke 125 gets a sharp design language and its distinctive styling is inspired by the performance powerhouse, KTM 1290 Super Duke R. The motorcycle resembles its elder siblings, mainly the Duke 200, to a great extent. This is actually a good thing for the customers as they will be getting a more premium-looking motorcycle at a relatively lesser price. At the front, the new Duke 125 gets a new sharp halogen headlamp with a daytime-running LED. It doesn’t get an LED headlamp and KTM could have offered it with this new updated version.
Moving to the side profile, one can see that the new KTM Duke 125 gets a sharp aerodynamic profile. It gets sharp tank extensions with a dual-tone colour scheme and Duke 125 branding. The motorcycle gets a muscular fuel tank, a split seat setup, exposed orange-coloured trellis frame, a belly pan to protect the engine, etc. At the rear, the bike gets a LED tail lamp and it even gets LED turn indicators. All in all, the new KTM Duke 125 looks really good. The bike is also available in two different colour shades. They are - Electronic Orange and Ceramic White.
The new KTM Duke 125 measures 1993 mm in length, 789 mm in width and 1083 mm in height. The motorcycle has a wheelbase of 1366 mm and it gets a seat height of 818 mm, which is on the higher side and it won’t be comfortable for short riders at all. The motorcycle also gets a massive ground clearance of 175 mm and it has a fuel tank capacity of 13.5 litres. The new KTM Duke 125 BS6 is quite heavy too and the motorcycle weighs around 159 kilograms.
Summary
The new KTM Duke 125 looks very striking and it is a handsome motorcycle. The Duke 125 is available in two colour shades. They are - Electronic Orange and Ceramic White.

The new KTM Duke 125 gets the same engine that also powers the KTM RC 125. This naked streetfighter motorcycle is powered by a BS6 compliant 124.7cc single-cylinder, liquid-cooled engine and it also gets fuel injection technology. This motor churns out 14.5 PS of maximum power at 9250 RPM and 12 Nm of peak torque at 8000 RPM. The engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. The new KTM Duke 125 BS6 is the most powerful 125cc motorcycle currently on sale in the Indian market. This naked streetfighter offers decent performance, considering it is just a 125cc bike. However, when we consider its price, the performance isn’t that great as for the same price, one can get much more powerful motorcycles.
The KTM Duke 125 offers good initial acceleration. The motorcycle feels peppy to ride inside the city limits and it offers good mid-range punch too. But, when you go on highways and try to extract its full potential, it will disappoint you as it doesn’t have that wow factor. Also, with the recent update, the Duke 125 has become significantly heavier than its predecessor and the performance has taken a hit. The Duke 125, however, offers decent fuel economy. It delivers around 35-40 kmpl of mileage in real-world riding conditions which is quite okay for this bike.
Summary
The new 2021 KTM Duke 125 BS6 offers decent performance. It is good fun to ride a motorcycle in the city but out on the highways, it lacks punch. The motorcycle offers decent fuel economy too.

The new KTM Duke 125 BS6 is based on a trellis frame and it gets a bolt-on-rear subframe. The motorcycle gets premium hardware components like the suspension duties on it are performed by USD or upside-down forks at the front and it gets a mono-shock absorber at the rear. The KTM Duke 125 offers a decent ride quality. The ride quality is a bit on the stiffer side, but it doesn’t feel very uncomfortable and thanks to the high ground clearance, it glides over speed breakers at ease. The braking duties on the bike are performed by disc brakes at either end.
The new KTM Duke 125 gets large disc brakes at either end along with a single-channel ABS. The motorcycle offers decent braking performance but it could have been better. Also, the Duke 125 gets a single-channel ABS only. KTM should have offered the dual-channel ABS unit as it is a premium motorcycle. Now, if we talk about features, the new KTM Duke 125 gets an all-digital instrument cluster that displays a ton of information. It displays a digital speedometer, twin trip meters, tachometer, odometer, a gear position indicator, etc. and gets an orange backlit display.
Summary
The new KTM Duke 125 BS6 gets premium hardware components. It is based on a trellis frame, gets USD forks, a mono-shock absorber and large disc brakes at either end with a single-channel ABS. It is quite feature-loaded too and gets an all-digital instrument cluster.
