Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS 2020-2022

The interiors of the NIOS are also new. The dual-tone dashboard is redesigned with a floating touchscreen that comes with Android Auto, and Apple CarPlay options as well. The steering wheel has also been redesigned and so is the new instrument cluster. Features like rear AC vents, 12V charging ports, wireless phone charging, & good fit-finish of the cabin make the interior feel more upmarket. Overall, the Grand i10 Nios feels premium when compared with the competition and offers loads of features that are worth the money. 

Hyundai provides 3 engine options for NIOS. The first is a 1.2 Lt, NA petrol which makes 82 bhp and 114 Nm of torque. This engine comes mated with an option of a 5-speed manual & 5-speed AMT automatic gearbox. The ARAI-claimed fuel economy stands at 20.7 km/l. The second option is a bi-fuel CNG engine with the same 1.2 Lt block. This engine produces a peak power of 68 hp & 95.12 Nm of peak torque. It comes mated with a 5-speed manual transmission. Then there's 1.0 Lt, turbo-petrol which makes a peak power of 98 hp & 172 Nm of peak torque. This engine comes with a 5-speed stick shift. 

The ride and handling of the Grand i10 Nios are just up to the mark with the money that you pay. The soft suspension is a bliss for city driving, however, the same cannot be said if the car goes on rough patches of the road at higher speeds. The steering is light so that makes to manoeuvre the car easily and park at tight spaces but the steering lacks response at higher speeds when out on highways. 

Hyundai has equipped the NIOS with standard dual airbags, EBD, and ABS for increased road safety. Overall, the build quality of the Grand i10 Nios can be a debate as the hatchback scored 2 stars at the Global NCAP crash test rating.
