The new Mini Cooper SE resembles the design feature identical to the petrol variants of the premium hatchback. With iconic Mini Cooper headlights and design, the front of the EV car is identical to the ICE-powered car but with little changes such as a reworked bumper and front grille. The addition of green colour highlights the EV identity; which is prominent throughout the design inside-out. Mini Cooper SE also feature a new 17-inch alloy wheel design which resembles the futuristic EV design. The rear profile of the Mini Cooper SE features similar British flag-inspired LED taillights as seen over the petrol engine counterparts. The slightly revamped rear bumper is the only highlight at the back of the new EV Mini Cooper SE.
Summary
Looks largely like the regular MINI. However, the alloy wheel design is all-new and so are minor other elements .

Mini Cooper SE interiors feature a similar design as that of the petrol siblings. Most of the design elements have been carried over with slight changes. The addition of greenish EV colour highlights is visible throughout the cabin via the surroundings of the infotainment console to the door panels inside. Apart from this, the Mini Cooper SE features the iconic circular infotainment system. Most of the interiors apart from this design remains similar to the petrol car.
Features include the prominent use of technology like the Android Auto, Apple CarPlay system with Google Maps incarnated in the infotainment system. Apart from this, the new EV also features the reworked MID which displays all the vitals like the estimated driving range, battery saver mode, etc. These features help the Mini Cooper SE stand apart in the crowd.
Summary
Funky interiors continue to be a strong point. Not the most spacious but target audience understands this .
The new Mini Cooper Se is offered with a 32.6 kWh lithium-ion battery pack which is capable of producing a peak power of 181 Bhp and a peak torque of 270 Nm. The instant delivery of 100 percent torque shall propel the Mini Cooper SE from the 0-100 kmph mark within 7.9 seconds as claimed by Mini. The top speed is limited to a modest 150 kmph which is more than enough for the Indian road conditions.
The claimed driving range on a full charge stands at 270 km. Not just this but the Mini Cooper SE will come with options of an 11kW or 50kW charger, which takes about 2.5 hours and 35 minutes to charge from 0 to 80 percent, respectively. This shall ease the living with the Mini Cooper SE.

The 2022 Mini Cooper SE is priced at Rs 47.20 Lakhs (ex-showroom). There are no direct rivals as of now. However, in the EV space, the MG ZS EV and Hyundai Kona are cheaper alternatives.
