I own a 2018 Polo TDi which has nearly sixty thousand kilometres on the odo. The car is used primarily by me for my office commute and occasional highway travel. The Polo looks extremely elegant and gets a subtle design language. I like the overall looks of the car and feel that this is one of the best looking hatchbacks in the market. The interiors are nicely put together and get a great build quality. The seats are comfortable but the rear seat has poor legroom, which makes it a not so good choice for family usage. The ergonomics are spot on and the car scores high in terms of practicality. The 1.5-L TDi engine is extremely powerful but sound a bit too rough, especially during the cold start. The clutch too is not very light but in all, the engine-gearbox combo makes it a fun to drive car. I usually get around 14-15 KMPL from this car on regular basis under mixed usage. The after sales support from the brand has been decent so far and average service bills come out to be 7-8 thousand rupees, which I think is reasonable for a car of this class.
