Maruti Dzire Engine
The Z-Series engine has replaced the K-Series enigne in the all new Dzire, which was expected as the new one was introudced with 4th Gen Swift launch. The new one has 3-cyclinder and produces 81.58 Ps and 111.7 Nm of torque, and it is availalbe with 5-speed MT and 5-speed AMT.
Talking about the driving dynamics, the new Dzire is not as sporty, as the 3-cylinder engine is low on power but high on fuel efficiency. Now, let's talk about the mileage figures:
- 5-speed manual gearbox - 24.79 km/l
- 5-speed AMT - 25.71 km/l
- CNG - 33.73 km/kg
Now, comparing it with its rivals, I found that the Dzire holds the number one position across every transmission and powertrain option. However, the Tata Tigor is the only vehicle here that offers a CNG automatic, adding an extra touch of comfort. Also, the Honda Amaze is the only sedan here that does not come with a factory-fitted CNG, although many customers add it through the aftermarket.
Mileage | Maruti Dzire | Hyundai Aura | Honda Amaze | Tata Tigor |
MT | 24.79 km/l | 20.5 km/l | 18.6 km/l | 19.6 km/l |
AT | 25.71 km/l (AMT) | 20.1 km/l | 18.3 km/l (CVT) | 19.28 km/l |
CNG | 33.73 km/kg | 22 km/kg | NA | 26.49 km/kg (MT) & 28.06 km/kg (AT) |
