KTM 390 Adventure Vs KTM 390 Adventure 390 X: Design
In terms of design, both bikes feature a completely new design language, with certain elements taking inspiration from the 1390 Super Duke, such as the split projector headlamp and its DRL signature surround. The standard 390 Adventure looks closer to a rally-spec bike in its, and this might work in its favour, as it also bears resemblance to some of KTM's bigger adventure bikes. Its taller stance, a more prominent bash-plate, and some more exposed bits give it a tougher appearance and it looks ready to take on uncharted territory. The standard 390 Adventure is available in two different colour schemes; Electronic Orange and Ceramic White.

In comparison, the 390 Adventure X looks more road-ready and approachable. Granted, both bikes have a ground clearance of 227mm, but the smaller wheel setup and alloy rims make the X look more road friendly and suited for daily usage. The X is also available in the same two colour schemes; Electronic Orange and Ceramic White. However, the body panels receive much different treatment when compared.
