Honda Amaze Old Vs New: Honda Cars India launched the third-gen Amaze on 4th December. The subcompact sedan has received some major upgrades in terms of design, interiors and features. However, there is no change in terms of mechanicals as the 1.2-litre i-VTEC remains intact. Because of better tuning, the engine is said to provide better fuel economy. Honda Amaze Old Vs New: Design
The biggest change arrived is the design language itself- the new Amaze says goodbye to the traditional design and derives some new stuff from the Elevate and City. These elements include the Elevate's grille and the City's tail lights. Another change is that the new Amaze offers dual projector headlamps instead of the single projector light that used to be on offer with the outgoing model.
Additionally, The new LED DRLs have an eyebrow pattern above them. When it comes to the side appearance, the overall silhouette remains the same, but the new iteration has 15-inch multi-spoke alloy wheels. Additionally, the front and rear bumpers now exude a more sporty vibe and have replaced the traditional ones on the outgoing model.

The all-new Amaze is equipped with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system which has replaced the previously available 7-inch unit. The update adds a new semi-digital instrument console. Other features on offer include connected car technology, a wireless phone charger, auto headlamps, paddle shifters and a 6-speaker music system.
On the safety front, the new Amaze gets six airbags, an electronic stability programme (ESP), brake assist, ABS with EBD, rearview camera with parking sensors, 3-point seatbelts for all passengers and ISOFIX child anchorages. The automaker is also offering ADAS-level 2 with the new Amaze which is happening for the first time in the segment.

Honda Amaze Old Vs New: Powertrain
The new generation Amaze gets the 1.2-litre, 4-cylinder NA petrol engine that also powers the outgoing model. This powerhouse generates 90 PS of power and 110 Nm of torque. The company has made some alterations to the fuel injection ECU and updated the manual transmission. The new Amaze gets a 5-speed manual and CVT auto gearbox for transmission. Due to some tweaking, the company is now claiming a better fuel efficiency of 19.46 kmpl when compared to the 18.3 kmpl provided by the outgoing model.
