For example, the Kushaq and Taigun receive a smaller sunroof, wireless smartphone connectivity, while the Grand Vitara and the Urban Cruiser Hyryder come with all-wheel drive.
Hyundai Creta - Safety Features
Hyundai has left no stone unturned when it comes to offering safety features in the new Creta. The Creta comes with six airbags as standard across all variants, and you also get things such as a 360-degree camera, a tyre pressure monitoring system, rear parking sensors, hill-start assist, seatbelt pretensioners, ISOFIX child seat mounts, emergency braking signal, automatic headlamps with follow-me function, and vehicle stability management among other features.

Competition Check: Rivals such as the Maruti Suzuki Grand Vitara, Kia Seltos, Toyota Urban Cruiser Hyryder, Skoda Kushaq, VW Taigun, and the Tata Curvv are quite closely matched with the Creta as well in terms of the safety features on offer, with a few minor exceptions.
Hyundai SmartSense ADAS
Given how popular driver assistance features, or ADAS features are in most cars today, the Korean car maker decided to equip the new Creta with a level-two ADAS suite as well, consisting of things such as Front Collision Avoidance Assist, Lane Departure Warning, Forward Collision Warning, Adaptive Cruise Control, Blind View Monitoring, Lane Keep Assist, and High Beam Assist, to name a few.
Variants available: The level-two ADAS suite is available on the new Creta from the SX Tech variant onwards, which begins from Rs 15.98 lakh (ex-showroom).
Competition Check: The Grand Vitara, Urban Cruiser Hyryder, the Skoda Kushaq and the VW Taigun do not offer any level of ADAS features as of now. The Kia Seltos, Honda Elevate, and the Tata Curvv are the only other cars in this segment with ADAS features.
Multiple Engine Options
The Creta can be had in a wide range of powertrain-transmission configurations. You get three powertrain options. First is a 1.5-litre nat-asp petrol engine, producing 113bhp and 148Nm of torque, paired to either a 6-speed manual, or a CVT. The diesel, also a 1.5-litre unit, produces 114bhp and 250Nm, paired to either a 6-speed manual or a torque-converter automatic. Meanwhile the newer 1.5-litre turbo-petrol puts out 158bhp and 253Nm, with only a 7-speed DCT on offer.
Variants available: The 1.5-litre nat-asp petrol with the manual gearbox is available across all variants, while the automatic is offered from the S variant onwards. The diesel manual is available in all variants except for the SX, while the automatic can be had with the S (O) and the SX (O) variants. The turbo-petrol is available only with the SX (O) variant.
Competition Check: The Seltos and the Curvv are the only other cars in this segment to offer a diesel engine. The Kushaq and Taigun continue to be turbo-petrols only, while the Grand Vitara and the Hyryder give the option of either a mild-hybrid or a strong-hybrid petrol. The Honda Elevate comes solely with a 1.5-litre nat-asp petrol engine.
