Dimensions
Although a lot can be said and talked about the exterior designs and how one looks better than the other, but let's be practical. the design is something very subjective and while one may mean the Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS Hy-CNG, others might find the Tata Tiago CNG to be the more handsome, and they both are right. We'll leave that to your personal preferences on what you like more. As for me, I find the Grand i10 NIOS to be more of a contemporary appeal whereas the Tiago has that timeless charm.
Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS | Tata Tiago CNG
Length (mm) | 3815 | 3765 |
Width (mm) | 1680 | 1677 |
Height (mm) | 1520 | 1535 |
Wheel Base (mm) | 2450 | 2400 |
However, coming to a concrete number, there we can make out who's trumps over the other. Like this, where you will find the Grand i10 NIOS to be longer, wider, and with a bit more wheelbase. Whereas the Tata Tiago is a little taller. However, these might not be very evident in reality, the on-paper comparison favors the Grand i10 Hy-CNG more.
Features
The Grand i10 CNG comes equipped with a range of features, including an 8.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. It also includes steering-mounted controls, rear air conditioning vents, automatic headlights, projector headlights with DRLs, six airbags, a Tyre Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS), a rear parking camera, hill start assist, and Electronic Stability Control (ESC), among other amenities.
In comparison to the i10 Nios, the Tiago CNG offers a more feature-rich experience. It includes projector headlights with LED DRLs, a 7.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, an eight-speaker Harman audio system, a digital instrument cluster, automatic climate control, and electrically adjustable and foldable wing mirrors. However, you don't get any rear AC vents with this one. I feel like even after all the added tech, this one practical feature should have been included.
Engine
Grand i10 NIOS Hy-CNG Duo | Tata Tiago CNG
Engine Type | 1.2 l Bi-Fuel (petrol with CNG) | 1.2L Revotron |

Max Torque | 95.2Nm@4000rpm | 95Nm@3500rpm |
The Hyundai Grand i10 NIOS and Tata Tiago CNG are both notable options in the compact car segment, each featuring a 1.2-litre petrol+CNG engine. The Grand i10 NIOS's engine delivers 69 PS of power and 95.2 Nm of torque, paired with a 5-speed manual transmission. In comparison, the Tata Tiago CNGs 1.2-litre engine produces 72.4 bhp of power and 95 Nm of peak torque, also with a 5-speed manual transmission. While the Tiago offers a slight advantage in power output, the torque figures of both models are nearly identical.
Choosing between these two will likely come down to personal preferences regarding design, features, and overall driving experience. However, the 4-cylinder unit on the Grand i10 NIOS feels a bit more refined than the Tiago's 3-cylinder Revotron engine.

Verdict
The CNG compact car segment has been on the rise ever since its inception, which is evident by more and more CNG variants of popular models being launched regularly. However it is the small car segment that witnesses the highest volumes of sales. Coming to the two cars in focus, you may go with any of the choices and none of these will disappoint you.
