Maruti Suzuki has kept the chrome usage nominal in the front fascia of the hatchback.
Interiors

The hatchback now features an all-black dashboard which gets a dark blue and dual-tone black theme which is also evident on the door pads. There's also a silver insert below the dashboard which looks premium and upmarket. Apart from this, the new Baleno features a new steering wheel and an updated analogue instrument console.
Side Profile
The new Baleno has some major improvements on the side profile. Now you get 16-inch precision-cut alloy wheels with the top-end model and the Zeta variant also features silver-finished alloy wheels. However, the entry-level trims- Sigma and Delta continue to feature steel rims with wheel covers on them. The new Baleno also get a chrome treatment on the window line that extends till the end of the rear glass.
Features
In terms of functionality, the new Baleno features an all-new 9-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The provided infotainment unit supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Another new addition is the 6-speaker Arkamys-sourced stereo system. Other features of the new-gen Baleno include a heads-up display, 360-degree surround camera, cruise control, auto-dimming IRVM and Suzuki Connect telematics, six airbags and hill hold assist for the AGS version.
Powertrain
The new Maruti Suzuki Baleno sources its power from a 1.2 litre petrol engine which also comes with an upgraded setup. Now you get some added convenience features like and start/stop button. The petrol unit on offer makes 89 bhp of power and 113 Nm torque. Another change or we can say a negative is the introduction of an AMT gearbox instead of the CVT that used to come with the previous gen Baleno.
Verdict
The new Maruti Suzuki Baleno excels with its stylish redesign, featuring a sleek grille, LED projectors, and updated bumpers. The interiors boast a premium look with a dual-tone theme, silver inserts, and advanced features like a 9-inch infotainment system and 360-degree camera. The side profile enhancements, including 16-inch alloy wheels and chrome window lines, add to its appeal. Though the shift from a CVT to an AMT gearbox is a slight drawback. Overall, its a worthy update that demands a premium over the previous gen Baleno.
