Renault Kiger Vs Rivals: Price
The Renault Kiger has the lowest starting price compared to both Maruti Suzuki Fronx and Hyundai Venue, as well as all the other sub-four-metre SUVs. Even the highest-spec variant of the Kiger is cheaper than some mid-spec variants of Fronx and Venue. In this comparison, the Hyundai Venue is the one for which you must shell out the most money.
Model | Renault Kiger | Maruti Suzuki Fronx | Hyundai Venue |
Price (ex-showroom, Delhi) | Rs 6 lakh Rs 11.23 lakh | Rs 7.52 lakh Rs 12.88 lakh | Rs 7.94 lakh Rs 13.48 lakh |
Renault Kiger Vs Rivals: Engine And Mileage
Like the Maruti Suzuki Fronx and Hyundai Venue, the Renault Kiger also offers naturally aspirated, turbocharged petrol engine options. Starting with the naturally-aspirated versions, the Kiger has the smallest engine, producing the least power and torque outputs. A 5-speed manual transmission is standard, with the Fronx and Kiger getting AMT options. While the Kiger's fuel efficiency is higher than Venue's, it trails behind Fronx.
The turbocharged versions have 1.0-litre turbo-petrol engines, with the Venue leading the pack with the highest power and torque outputs. The Kiger is as powerful as the Fronx but has a higher torque output. All three have different automatic transmission options apart from manual gearboxesCVT for Kiger, torque converter for Fronx, and dual-clutch automatic for Venue. The Kiger is more efficient than Venue but less than Fronx.

Renault Kiger vs Rivals: Dimensions and Road Presence
Compared to both Fronx and Venue, the Renault Kiger has lesser overall length, width and wheelbase, making the former two more spacious, though only marginally. However, where the Kiger simply trumps the Fronx and Venue are ground clearance and boot space, which are significantly higher than the other two.
While the Kiger and Fronx have a more crossover-esque road presence, the Venue has a relatively more upright stance. Unlike the Fronx and Venue, which have individualistic designs, the Renault Kiger shares much of its design language with Kwid, which makes it look like its larger version. All three SUVs have LED headlamps, tail lamps, and machined alloy wheels, though the Kiger misses out on an LED lightbar connecting the tail lamps, which the other two have.
Dimensions | Renault Kiger | Maruti Suzuki Fronx | Hyundai Venue |

Renault Kiger vs Rivals: Features
The Renault Kiger has fewer comfort, convenience, and safety features than the Maruti Suzuki Fronx and the Hyundai Venue. While it gets almost all the essentials, the Kiger misses out on trendy features like a sunroof and powered driver's seat, making the Venue the best-equipped SUV in this comparison. While Kiger and Venue get three drive modes (Eco, Normal and Sport), the Fronx is the only one with a head-up display.

Verdict
While the Renault Kiger is the most affordable car compared to its rivals, there are evident signs of cost-cutting. The less-premium fit and finish, quality of materials in the interior, and lesser features make the Kiger feel cheaper than the Venue and Fronx. Also, the performance of the naturally aspirated petrol engine is underwhelming and less refined compared to that in the other sub-four-metre SUVs. However, the Renault Kiger has a very appealing design and has the best ride quality and storage spaces in the cabin among the comparison.
