From the table, the Renault Kwid CNG is generally larger than the Maruti Alto K10. The Kwid boasts a greater length, width, wheelbase, and boot space, which translates to a more spacious interior and increased cargo capacity. It features a 7-inch floating touchscreen infotainment system, compatible with Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, USB, Bluetooth, and AUX. Powertrain
As for the Renault Kwid CNG powertrain, the power figures are not yet revealed however, with the CNG availability only with the non-turbo petrol trims, it will be undercutting the usual power figures by a margin, a characteristic trait of the greener options. As for the pricing, the Renault Kwid CNG gets Rs. 75,000 over the petrol variants with a retrofitment and ranges from Rs. 5.45 lakhs to Rs. 6.75 lakhs. The Alto K10 CNG will cost you in the range of Rs. 5.83 lakhs to Rs. 6.05 lakhs, with all the prices being ex-showroom.
Verdict
The tussle within the entry level models intensifies with the introduction of a CNG option with the Kwid and that is some serious competition for those who want something other than a Maruti, that sells in big numbers. However, as per the latest information, Maruti is working on a new entry-level model which is likely to offer a mild-hybrid, CNG, as well as flex-fuel options in a big to sweep the small car segment and re-gain its 50% share of the market.
