The Renault Kwid is a metro city-friendly small hatchback that stands out as one of the most affordable and reliable cars on Indian roads. Renault Kwid Exterior
For the 2024 update, the Renault Kwid gets three new dual-tone colors: Moonlight Silver, Zanskar Blue, and Fiery Red, bringing the total number of dual-tone options to five. Additionally, all these options are reserved for the top-spec Climber variant. Apart from that, the alloy wheel design and front fascia remain the same, continuing to be as attractive as ever.
Renault Kwid Interior
The interior of the Kwid remains unchanged in the latest model. However, to make the Kwid more exciting and attract customers on a tight budget, the French automaker has shaken up the variant list in terms of features. Specifically, the RXL (O) trim, which costs Rs 4.99 lakh ex-showroom, now comes with an 8-inch touchscreen infotainment system. Additionally, the RXL (O) variant will also be available with an AMT gearbox, priced at Rs 5.44 lakh ex-showroom, making the Kwid the cheapest car in India with an automatic transmission.
Renault Kwid Engine
It uses the same 1.0L naturally aspirated petrol engine, which produces 68 PS and 91 Nm of torque, and is available with either a 5-speed manual or Easy-R AMT technology. In terms of mileage, the Kwid achieves 21.46 kmpl with the 5-speed manual and 22.3 kmpl with the AMT, as per ARAI. However, with a lighter foot and gentle driving, its not difficult to extract an average of above 25 kmpl from the engine.
Features
In terms of the features list, there are no changes. It still includes the digital driver's display, manual AC controls, hill hold assist, dual airbags, traction control system, reverse parking camera, steering-mounted audio controls, USB socket, and wired Apple CarPlay and Android Auto.
