After a lot of teasers and digital showcases, Tata Motors has showcased its upcoming Coupe SUV the Curvv. The brand is entering the highly competitive mid-size SUV segment. Tata Curvv Engine Options
Tata Curvv will come with 3 engine options. It will be powered by an all-new Hyperion 1.2-litre GDI turbo petrol engine producing 123.2 bhp of power and 225 Nm of peak torque. The brand has mated this engine with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCA gearbox. The second petrol engine option is the 1.2-litre revotron petrol engine producing 118 bhp of power and 170 Nm of peak torque. Lastly, the third engine option is the 1.5-litre Kryojet diesel engine producing 115 bhp of power and 260 Nm of peak torque. These two engines are also mated with a 6-speed manual and a 7-speed DCA gearbox.
Tata Curvv Variants
The upcoming Tata Curvv will be available in 8 primary variants namely, Smart, Pure+, Pure+ S, Creative, Creative+, Creative+ S, Accomplished S, and Accomplished+ A. The pricing of these variants is yet to be announced.
Smart
This is the base variant of the Curvv ICE lineup. This variant will come with only 2 colour options and 1.2-litre Revotron and 1.5-litre diesel engine option with manual transmission.

With this variant customer gets a new engine option which is the new 1.2-litre turbocharged GDI engine. This engine can be mated with a manual transmission only for this variant. Moreover, this variant offers 3 additional features as compared to the Creative S variant.

Verdict
Tata is entering the mid-size SUV segment with the launch of the Curvv. The brand has filled the car with a lot of features and made it a tough rival for the segment. The three engine options makes it versatile for different needs. Now, the focus shifts to the SUVs pricing. Citroen has launched the Baslat Coupe at an impressive price of Rs 7.99 lakh (ex-showroom), making it challenging for Tata to offer a more competitive price.
