Hero MotoCorp launched the BS6-compliant Splendor iSmart 110 in November last year. It was the first-ever BS6-compliant motorcycle to be launched in India. Upon launch, the Splendor i-Smart 110 BS6 was available in only one variant that got disc brake at the front and a drum unit at the rear. However, to make the motorcycle more accessible and affordable, Hero MotoCorp has now launched the Drum brake variant of this bike. The prices of the motorcycle now start at Rs. 65,700, Ex-showroom Delhi. Here, we have for you some more details about the new 2020 Hero Splendor iSmart 110 BS6.
The new Hero Splendor iSmart 110 is powered by a BS6-compliant 113.2cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This motor churns out 9.02 PS of power at 7500 RPM and 9.89 Nm of torque at 5500 RPM. The engine comes coupled to a 4-speed manual gearbox. Hero MotoCorp claims that this motorcycle delivers 10 per cent more torque, is more fuel-efficient and emits 88 per cent less NOx emissions than before. The Splendor iSmart gets Hero's advanced XSens fuel-injection technology. It focuses on various parameters including fuel-saving, performance, durability, reliability and safety. It also gets Hero's patented i3S or idle stop/start system that helps to maximize fuel efficiency.

The 2020 Hero Splendor iSmart 110 BS6 is based on a new tubular diamond frame. The suspension duties are handled by telescopic forks at the front and 5-step adjustable hydraulic shock absorbers at the rear. For braking duties, it gets a 130 mm drum at the rear while at the front one can opt between a 240 mm disc and a 130 mm drum brake unit. It also gets Hero's Integrated Braking System (IBS) as an additional safety aid. The motorcycle gets 80/100 section 18-inch tubeless tyres both at the front as well as at the rear. It also gets a semi-analogue semi-digital instrument cluster with blue backlit that shows all the basic trip-related information.
The new 2020 Hero Splendor iSmart 110 BS6 gets new body graphics and new colours. It is available in three colour schemes: Blue, Red and Grey. The motorcycle is available in two variants: Self-start Drum brake alloy wheel FI and Self-start Disc brake alloy wheel FI. The new Drum brake variant is priced at Rs. 65,700 while the Disc brake model is priced at Rs. 67,900. All prices stick to Ex-showroom Delhi. Also, the Drum brake model is 1 kg lighter than the Disc brake model at 116 kilograms while the Disc version weighs 117 kilograms. It rivals against the Honda CD 110 Dream BS6, Bajaj Platina 110 H-Gear, Hero Passion Pro 110 BS6, etc.
