The new Hero Super Splendor BS6 looks more mature than the previous BS4 model. At the front, this updated motorcycle gets a new angular halogen headlamp with subtle silver accents all around it along with a blacked-out visor. Moving to the side profile, we can see that the motorcycle gets new attractive triple-tone graphics on the body panels. The new Hero Super Splendor gets a long comfortable seat along with body-coloured grab rails. There are subtle chrome accents all over the body panels, including the exhaust muffler. It gets a blacked-out engine, new five-spoke alloy wheels and at the rear, the motorcycle gets a halogen tail lamp.
The Hero Super Splendor is a youthful 125cc commuter motorcycle and it sells in very good numbers. It is also the most affordable 125cc motorcycle currently on sale in the Indian market and thus garners good sales for the company. The Hero Super Splendor is available in several attractive colour variants too. The motorcycle is currently available in five different colour shades and they are Dusky Black, Glaze Black, Heavy Grey, Nexus Blue and Candy Blazing Red.

The new Hero Super Splendor 125 BS6 measures 2042 mm in length, it has a width of 740 mm and the motorcycle stands 1102 mm high. The wheelbase of this commuter bike is around 1273 mm and it has a saddle height of 799 mm. While the seat height of the motorcycle might seem a bit high on paper, but in reality, it is quite easy to ride for both tall as well as short riders. The new Super Splendor BS6 has a massive 180 mm ground clearance, so it can tackle almost all types of speed breakers and is a preferred choice in rural markets too. This motorcycle gets a big fuel tank with a total capacity of 12-litres. Also, it weighs 122 kgs for the drum variant and 123 kgs for the front disc brake model.

The new Hero Super Splendor is powered by an all-new BS6 compliant 124.7cc, single-cylinder, air-cooled engine. This BS6 motor churns out 10.8 PS of maximum power at 7500 RPM and 10.6 Nm of peak torque at 6000 RPM. The engine comes mated to 5-speed manual gearbox. It also gets Hero's XSens fuel-injection technology that helps in delivering optimum performance and maximum fuel efficiency. The Super Splendor offers decent performance, and it is a perfect commuter motorcycle for city runs. That’s because of its good acceleration and great pick-up.
With the BS6 update, Hero MotoCorp has comprehensively updated this motorcycle and it now gets a 5-speed manual gearbox unlike the 4-speed unit on the BS4 model. This new 5-speed gearbox of the Super Splendor is smooth and offers easy gear changes which make it very effortless to ride in city traffic conditions. The updated new Hero Super Splendor 125 BS6 is a very fuel-efficient motorcycle. It delivers around 55-60 kmpl of mileage in real-world riding conditions, which is really great for a 125cc commuter motorcycle like this.

The new Hero Super Splendor 125 is based on an all-new platform. The company has ditched the old tubular double-cradle frame and instead, the updated Super Splendor 125 now gets a new diamond frame that is claimed to weigh lesser than before. The suspension duties on the motorcycle are performed by telescopic forks at the front and it gets 5-step adjustable spring-loaded dual shock-absorbers at the rear. The Super Splendor offers an exceptionally soft and comfortable ride quality and it glides over even rough surfaces.
The braking duties on the new Hero Super Splendor are handled by a 130 mm drum at the rear. However, at the front, one can choose between a 130 mm drum or a 240 mm disc unit. The Super Splendor even gets an Integrated Braking System (IBS) as an additional safety aid just like all sub-150cc Hero MotoCorp scooters and motorcycles. This motorcycle rides on 18-inch tubeless tyres. The front tyre of the motorcycle measures 80/100-18 while the rear one is a 90/90 section 18-inch unit. The Hero Super Splendor is decently feature-loaded too and it gets a new instrument cluster that displays an analogue speedometer, fuel gauge, odometer, etc.
