KTM India will soon launch the new-generation RC 390 in the country. Over the past few months, we all have seen several camouflaged test mules of the new-gen KTM RC 390 while undergoing road test. Now, the camouflages are out as the Austrian two-wheeler manufacturer will launch this motorcycle in India very soon. And, ahead of its official launch, the official images of the new 2021 KTM RC 390 have leaked on the internet. Let's check them out.
New-Gen KTM RC 390 - Design Updates
The new-generation KTM RC 390 has evolved completely in terms of design and while it retains its overall sharp design, the front fascia has got some major updates. Gone are the dual projector set-ups and incomes the new vertically stacked LED headlamp in the new-gen KTM RC 390 just like its naked siblings. The LED headlamp is flanked by LED DRLs and it gets a short but wide visor and the rear-view mirrors have been placed on the body. From the side profile, the new KTM RC 390 looks more or less the same as before but has now an edgier design and a slimmer rear-end.
New-Gen KTM RC 390 - Engine Specifications
The new-generation KTM RC 390 isn't expected to get any major updates in terms of mechanicals. This new fully-faired motorcycle will still be powered by the same old BS6 complaint 373.2cc, single-cylinder, liquid-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This BS6 motor currently churns out 43.5 PS of maximum power at 9000 RPM and 36 Nm of peak torque at 7000 RPM in the RC 390 and the engine comes mated to a 6-speed manual gearbox. However, the upcoming new-gen RC 390 is finally expected to feature a slipper clutch.

New-Gen KTM RC 390 - Hardware and Features
The new-generation KTM RC 390 will be based on a revised version of the current platform that underpins the RC series motorcycles. The new RC 390 will get USD (upside down) forks at the front and a mono-shock absorber at the rear. For braking duties, this new motorcycle will get large disc brakes at either with dual-channel ABS as an additional safety aid. The new KTM RC 390 will sport a host of new features too, including an LCD display as the main instrument cluster. It has been directly borrowed from Duke 390.
New-Gen KTM RC 390 - Launch Date and Price
Finally, talking about the launch date and price, so the new 2021 KTM RC 390 is expected to be launched in India very soon and most likely within this month only. The KTM RC 390 is currently priced at Rs. 2.77 lakhs, Ex-showroom Delhi and one can expect the new-gen version of the RC 390 to charge a slight premium over the current prices. The unofficial bookings for the new KTM RC-series motorcycles are also already open in India.
