Royal Enfield Himalayan is a very popular dual-purpose motorcycle in the Indian market. The Himalayan was first launched in India in the year 2016. Upon launch, it was BS3 compliant and had quite some niggles too. Luckily, Royal Enfield acted proactively and sorted all the problems and launched the new BS4 compliant Himalayan in 2017. Then, fast forward to 2020, the bikemaker launched the new 2020 Royal Enfield Himalayan BS6 that got some cosmetic tweaks and a BS6 compliant engine. Now, we are finally in 2021 and as we all know that Royal Enfield is planning to launch several new motorcycles in the coming months and so the two-wheeler maker will soon launch the new Himalayan. Now, ahead of its official launch, the new colour variants of the 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan have leaked on the internet.
At present, the 2020 Royal Enfield Himalayan BS6 is available in a total of six colour options. They are Snow White, Granite Black, Gravel Grey, Lake Blue, Rock Red and adventure junkies favourite Sleet Grey colour shade. Some of these colour variants of the Himalayan were introduced in 2020 along with the BS6 upgrade and they even get dual-tone type treatment, which further enhances their appeal. Now, for the year 2021, the company will introduce three new colour variants for the RE Himalayan. They are Granite Black, Mirage Silver and Pine Green. These new colour schemes get a mono-tone shade with minimal body graphics. Also, as per the latest media reports, the company will discontinue three older colour schemes of the RE Himalayan and will retain only the Gravel Grey, Lake Blue and Rock Red colour variants.
Along with the new colour variants, the new 2021 Royal Enfield Himalayan will get some subtle cosmetic updates too. For instance, it will sport fresh graphics on the body panels and the front rack of the motorcycle around the fuel tank will also sport minor changes. The new Himalayan will even get a new taller windshield and the flyscreen will be tinted too. Further, you can see in the above images that the new RE Himalayan gets a new seat too. The seat is finished in brown colour and according to the media reports, it will be made using higher density foam for better comfort. The motorcycle will be even more feature-loaded than before. The RE Himalayan currently gets an analogue instrument cluster that displays a load of information and while the analogue clusters of the RE Himalayan will remain the same as before, it will now get new Tripper navigation too.

The new Royal Enfield Himalayan will continue to be powered by the same BS6-compliant 411cc, single-cylinder, four-stroke, SOHC, air-cooled, fuel-injected engine. This mill will churn out 24.8 PS of maximum power at 6500 RPM and 32 Nm of peak torque between 4000-4500 RPM. The engine will come mated to a 5-speed constant mesh manual gearbox.
