Royal Enfield Scrambler 650

Last updated on 3rd Nov'23 Design: The Royal Enfield Scrambler 650, once again, has been spotted undergoing testing, and this time, it's sporting a nearly production-ready appearance. This upcoming addition to Royal Enfield's 650cc lineup is generating excitement on a global scale. 

Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 Features: The Scrambler 650 will compete against rivals like KTM and hence it’ll get all of the latest features. Some of the features will include – an LED headlight, LED taillight, LED sharp turn indicators, a fully digital instrument console, & Bluetooth smartphone connectivity along with navigation, etc. We also expect that RE might fit features like different riding modes, switchable ABS, cornering ABS, & even a cruise control on it.

Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 Engine: The Scrambler 650 will use the same 648cc parallel-twin engine as seen on the current 650cc lineup. This engine is air/oil-cooled and produces a peak power of 47 bhp & a peak torque of 52.3 Nm. This engine will feature on the Himalayan 650 but with slight changes to its ECU and gear ratios. It is a reliable unit that is known for its rich torquey character. It uses a 6-speed gearbox with a slipper-assist clutch function to make the ride safer and smooth.

Royal Enfield Scrambler 650 Pricing & Rivals: Speaking of the pricing, RE might place the Scrambler 650 somewhere around the current Interceptor 650. This means that it’ll probably get a pricing of around Rs 3 lakh ex-showroom. RE will launch the Scrambler by mid-2024 in India and it’ll indirectly rival with KTM 390 Adventure & Yezdi Scrambler.
