BSA Gold Star 650

Last Updated On 19th Jan'24: Classic Legends is set to introduce the BSA brand in India within the next 12 to 18 months. The lineup will feature the BSA Goldstar 650 along with other models. In the coming year, we can also anticipate the launch of several new Jawa bikes.

Design And Features

Undoubtedly, the design is the most unique selling point of the upcoming BSA Motors Gold Star motorcycle. It mimics the design layout of the old 1960s Gold Star bike. The cruiser-cum-naked motorcycle looks are backed up with high-quality construction. BSA Motors Gold Star will come equipped with modern features and technology. The retro theme is supported via the use of features such as the semi-digital instrument cluster, Bluetooth connectivity, and even various riding modes. The BSA Motors Gold Star motorcycle will directly compete with the rivals like the Royal Enfield once it gets launched in India. 

Engine And Specifications

The engine is going to be the most interesting thing on the BSA Motors Gold Star. As the old-generation Gold Star bikes were based on parallel-twin engines, the new BSA Motors Gold Star is also designed around a similar layout. It features a 650cc, DOHC, air-cum-oil cooled, parallel-twin, fuel-injected engine. This engine is filled with loads of low-end torque to provide the same riding experience as that of the old Gold Star retro bike, but with more performance and refinement than the old century. It’ll also feature the likes such as big disc brakes, dual-channel ABS, LED lights, etc.

Price And Launch

The upcoming BSA Motors Gold Star was recently showcased to the world in December 2021. The Motorcycle Live show took place in the UK and the bike got an immediate positive response for its unique styling as well as specifications. As the BSA Motors Gold Star is owned by the Mahindra group, the suspected launch is around the Indian festive season of 2022. This means the bike can launch somewhere in September or August in India. The price is going to be steep as it will feature modern tech. We anticipate the sticker price around Rs 5 – 6 Lakh ex-showroom.
