2022 TVS iQube electric scooter is now available across India. The new scooter is now offered with more riding range, new colours, & more variants.
TVS Motors is already a well-established two-wheeler brand pan India. TVS also sells the electric scooter called iQube in the Indian market. Now, the 2022 TVS iQube electric scooter is launched which is the latest iteration of the EV. Incarnating more features, newer variants, and a better riding range; iQube is now better than ever. The launch price for the updated scooter stands at a starting Rs 98,564 while the top variant is priced at Rs 1,08,690.
2022 TVS iQube Design & Features
While the design of the new scooter is similar to the old version, intriguing colour options are now added for more visual appeal. Apart from this, the majority of the scooter remains the same in terms of looks. The futuristic-looking scooter is supported by black alloy wheels and disc brakes.
TVS iQube is now available in 3 variants that include the iQube, iQube S, & iQube ST. All three variants are equipped with the same mechanicals but with revised features and an enhanced battery riding range.
The iQube is the base version and it comes equipped with a 5-inch TFT display as an instrument cluster. It is also equipped with various riding modes for fetching better performance according to changing road conditions. SMARTXONNECT feature is now standard across all the range of e-scooter. It provides riding-aided information such as improved navigation, anti-theft, and even geofencing feature.
TVS iQube S comes with an added 7-inch touchscreen TFT display which also beholds the SMARTXONNECT system. Additional to the base variant, this also offers an intuitive 5-way joystick to operate multiple functions from the touchscreen panel. This includes the likes of personalization, active notifications, and even vehicle information on the go.
The top-end variant i.e. the iQube ST is equipped with more engaging features. These include the likes of a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment screen, music controls, 4G telematics, and OTA updates as well. This variant also comes with a voice assist and TVS iQube Alexa skillset. Also, the ST is offered with an option of 1.5 kW fast-charging, and a massive 32 litres of storage space. It can easily gulp down 2 helmets under the seat storage.
With the newly updated iQube, TVS is offering geofencing. This technology helps the rider to know about the battery charging status, anti-theft alarm, & other scooter stats from distance via us a smartphone app.
Engine & Specifications
Apart from the introduction of new features, TVS has also updated the battery pack of iQube. The base and mid-variant come equipped with a 3.4 kWh battery pack that helps achieve the scooter a healthy 100 km of ideal riding range. This range is improved over the previous iteration of the scooter and helps solve the range anxiety problem. These versions can achieve a top speed of 78 kmph as claimed.
For the top-end trim; iQube ST comes fitted with a new 5.1 kWh battery pack that is deemed to be very powerful. TVS claims that this version can do a claimed ideal riding range of 140 km per charge. This figure is also among the segment-leading for the scooter. This battery and electric motor combo help the ST to reach 82 kmph of top speed. 0-40 kmph speed comes under 4.2 seconds which is one of the best among the segment.
TVS offers the options of 650 W, 950 W, and 1.5 kW chargers. The 650 W & 950 W chargers can completely charge the scooter in a claimed time of 3 hours and 4.5 hours respectively.
2022 TVS iQube Rivals
TVS has already started the production of the iQube. The bookings are open and one can book the electric scooter easily by visiting the official website. TVS will distribute the new iQube via its dealerships spread over 33 cities pan India. The expansion plan is ongoing which will help spread the dealership network to 52 cities soon. Deliveries for the base trim and the iQube S have commenced. The top-end ST trim is available on pre-booking for prospective buyers.
The rivals for the 2022 TVS iQube electric scooter are - Ather 450X, Ola S1 Pro, & Bajaj Chetak. The rival companies are also working on their improved products that will debut soon in the future.
