The iQube electric scooter from TVS Motor Company has received a long-awaited update. The new upgrade has numerous additional features as well as a longer riding range than the previous model. Battery and Range
A 3.4 kWh battery pack is standard on the base and mid-variants, giving the scooter a respectable 100 km of optimal riding range. This range is better than the previous scooter generation and helps to alleviate range concern. According to the manufacturer, these variants can reach a top speed of 78 kmph.
The iQube ST is equipped with a new 5.1 kWh battery pack that is said to be extremely powerful. This type, according to TVS, has a claimed optimal riding range of 140 kilometres per charge. This figure is also among the best in the scooter class. This battery and the electric motor combination allow the ST to reach a top speed of 82 kilometres per hour. The 0-40 kmph time is 4.2 seconds, which is one of the fastest in the segment.
650 W, 950 W, and 1.5 kW chargers are available from TVS. The 650 W and 950 W chargers claim to be able to fully charge the scooter in 3 hours and 4.5 hours, respectively.
Variants
The TVS iQube is now available in three models: iQube, iQube S, and iQube ST. The mechanicals are the same on all three models, but they have new features and a longer battery range. The Base and S variants are currently available for reservation, but the ST variant will be available later.
New Colours
The previous generation of the iQube was only available in White, whereas the 2022 model comes in 11 different colours. However, it is dependent on the version chosen. Starlight Blue Glossy, Titanium Grey Matte, Coral Sand Glossy, and Copper Bronze Matte are among the four colours offered for the ST. Mercury Grey Glossy, Mint Blue, Lucid Yellow, and Copper Bronze Glossy are all colour possibilities for the S version. In comparison, the Base model comes in three colours: Shining Red, Titanium Grey Glossy, and Pearl White.
New Features
The base model of the iQube comes equipped with a 5-inch TFT display serving as an instrument panel. It also comes with a variety of riding modes that adjust to changing road conditions for greater performance. The TVS iQube S additionally includes a 7-inch touchscreen TFT display with the SMARTXONNECT technology. In addition to the base model, this one includes a 5-way joystick for controlling several operations from the touchscreen panel. The iQube ST, gets audio controls, 4G telematics, and OTA updates are among the features. This model also includes a voice assistant and the TVS iQube Alexa capability.
Pricing
The base TVS iQube model costs Rs 98,654 (ex-showroom, Delhi), while the iQube S variant costs Rs 1.08 lakh (ex-showroom, Delhi). Customers that are interested can book the base and S models. The price of the iQube's top-end ST variant has not been revealed, however, it can be booked for Rs 999.
