The upcoming Bajaj Pulsar N150 is essentially a fusion of the Bajaj Pulsar P150's mechanics with the sleek bodywork of the Bajaj Pulsar N160 quite the transformation, isn't it? This eagerly anticipated bike is poised for a launch, and reports suggest it might hit the streets as early as this month, which is quite a treat for biking enthusiasts. Spotted at dealerships, the initial sightings reveal it in striking white and red avatars, and there's even a hint of more colour options in the pipeline.

Now, let's talk about the aesthetics. The N150 inherits the same sharp projector LED headlight that graces its N160 sibling. There's also a chic single-piece grab rail at the rear and a tire hugger for that sporty touch. The streetfighter-style body panels are reminiscent of the N160, giving it a distinct visual appeal. Like its predecessor, the Pulsar P150, it retains the kick-start lever and boasts an underbelly exhaust.

When it comes to the instrument cluster, the Pulsar N150 maintains the N160's semi-digital setup, complete with a distance-to-empty readout, real-time and average mileage indicators, a clock, and other standard info. The bike opts for a single-piece seat configuration, keeping the alloy wheel design unchanged. As for safety, expect it to come with a single-channel ABS across the board.

Upcoming Bajaj Pulsar N150: Powertrain And Price

Powering this machine is the same 149.68cc single-cylinder air-cooled engine that pumps out 14.5PS of power and 13.5Nm of torque identical to the Pulsar P150's heart. Its underpinnings include a 31mm telescopic fork, a front disc brake, a rear drum setup, and a rear preload-adjustable mono-shock, among other components. There are whispers about a variant with a rear disc brake, too something to keep an eye out for.

Now, onto the big question: the price. The base variant of the Pulsar P150 is currently priced at Rs 1,16,755, while the top-tier option sits at Rs 1,19,757. On the other hand, the Bajaj Pulsar N160 is available as a single variant for Rs 1,30,560. So, when it comes to pricing expectations for this upcoming release, word on the street suggests it might be approximately Rs 2,000 more expensive than the Pulsar P150. Well, they say you get what you pay for, and in this case, it's a fusion of the best of both worlds the Pulsar P150 and the N160.

Verdict

The Bajaj Pulsar N150 promises the best of both worlds, marrying style and power. While the pricing may nudge a bit higher, it's an exciting addition to the Pulsar lineup, catering to those who crave a sporty look without sacrificing the P150's reliable performance. The Pulsar N160 competes head-to-head with the Suzuki Gixxer, TVS Apache RTR 160 4V, and the Hero Xtreme 160R, whereas the P150 finds its competition in the form of the Yamaha FZ-Fi.
