2023 Suzuki V-Strom 1050 ADV range has been launched globally. The new update has brought both cosmetic as well as technical changes to it.
Suzuki has launched the latest iteration of its flagship ADV in Europe. The 2023 Suzuki V-Strom 1050 ADV range has now landed with a couple of changes. The new update has brought along with it cosmetic as well as mechanical tweaks. However, the bike has only been launched in Europe but it is expected to come to India soon.

2023 V-Strom 1050 Details
Speaking of the V-Strom, it remains one of the most potent-filled ADVs around the globe. Additionally, it is the flagship ADV from Suzuki worldwide as well as in India. However, Suzuki sells it in two different variants i.e. the 1050 & 1050DE. The V-Strom 1050 is more road-focused and offers better-touring capabilities.
Suzuki has changed the TFT display on 1050 by making it bigger in size now. The screen size is now bigger than its predecessor model. Additionally, it now comes with a bi-directional quickshifter for seamless upshifts and downshifts with the gearbox. Meanwhile, other features like the six-axis IMU, lean-sensitive ABS, hill hold, cruise control, riding modes, traction control, etc., have been retained as it is.
The gearbox has also undergone a few revisions. For example, the first two gears are now longer ratio-wise than ever before. However, the overall first five gears have been cogged up tightly when compared to the outgoing model. Meanwhile, the 1037cc, V-Twin, liquid-cooled engine remains unchanged. It makes a peak power of 107 bhp and 100 Nm of peak torque.
2023 V-Strom 1050DE Details
Suzuki has changed the nomenclature for its 'XT' series on the ADV platform. The off-road-focused MY23 V-Strom 1050DE is now top of the line in Suzuki's ADV offerings. The main changes on the DE variant are the spoked tubeless tyres with 21-inch front wheel size. This is to provide it with better off-road control. Meanwhile, the handlebar has been widened and the footrests have also been increased in size. This shall provide the rider with a better grip on the bike during extreme off-road conditions.
Apparently, the rest of the motorcycle is the same as that of the standard 1050. However, one can easily spot the difference between the two. The DE comes with an engine guard, belly pan, and longer swingarm than its standard counterpart.
Suzuki has yet not revealed the prices for the MY23 V-Strom 1050 in Europe. But, we expect that it is going to be offered with a minimal price hike than the previous model. However, Suzuki India seems to have glued its lips regarding any official information about the new V-Strom. But, as India remains Suzuki's one of the biggest two-wheeler markets; we expect it will come soon to India. Maybe by the first quarter of 2023. Its main rivals in India are - Ducati Multistrada V4 & BMW R 1250 GS.
