Suzuki RM Z250

The Suzuki RM Z250 is that typical bare-minimum motorcycle that you would find flinging in motocross circuits. Its range of usage is quite limited in India, since its not road legal. However, being Suzuki’s flagship models in this segment, they are surely specced to the highest callibre to tackle the roughest of terrains. The 2022 Suzuki RM Z250 competes might compete in a niche segment, but not without competitors. It’s primary competitor includes the Kawasaki KX 250F. Both the lightweight off-roader have several Supercross and Pro Motocross wins under their names. 

Specifications

The Suzuki RM Z250 is powered by a 249 cc , 4-stroke, liquid cooled, single-cylinder engine produces 36.3 bhp of power @11,500 rpm, and 18.6 lb-ft of torque@9,100 rpm. It comes mated to a 5-speed manual transmission. The overall curb weight of the motorcycle stands at 106 kgs, with a wheelbase that is 1,485 mm long.  The bike gets a ground clearance of 330 mm, meanwhile suspension duties are handled by inverted suspension up front and coil springs for the rear. Disc brakes are available on both the wheels, and the fuel tank can hold 6.3-liters of fuel. 

Price and Launch date

Suzuki sold the R Z250 in very limited numbers in India, since its launch in 2018. It was launched with an introductory price starting from Rs. 7.20 lakh. The 2022  RM Z250 is expected to launch in India sometime in September. We expect the prices to be somewhere in the ball park of Rs. 7.00 lakhs.
