2025 Kawasaki Versys 650 Launched

Kawasaki has rolled out the 2025 Versys 650 in India with a fresh Metallic Matte Graphenesteel Grey colour that gives the adventure tourer a sharper, more subdued appearance than last year's model, where green dominated. While the aesthetics have been tweaked, the mechanics stay the same, powered by the familiar 649cc parallel-twin engine delivering 67PS and 61Nm. Known for its tractable power delivery, smooth performance, and impressive heat management, the Versys 650 continues to be a solid choice for long-distance touring, thanks to its upright ergonomics and large 21-litre fuel tank.

The 2025 Kawasaki Versys 650 gets a tech upgrade with a new 4.3-inch TFT colour display that adds smartphone connectivity, giving it a premium and modern feel. It also features Kawasaki's advanced traction control system with two selectable modes for added safety and performance. The bike is equipped with adjustable suspension, USD forks up front, and a preload-adjustable monoshock at the rear, along with dual front discs, LED lighting, Bluetooth functionality, a USB port, and dual-channel ABS. It continues to roll on 17-inch wheels with grippy road-focused tyres rounding up the package.

2025 Kawasaki Versys 650: Price And Rivals
Apart from these updates, the bike remains the same as it was before; however, the price is now set at Rs 7.93 lakhs, which is now pricier than before. It goes up against the Triumph Tiger Sport 660, Suzuki V-Strom 800DE, and others.
Verdict
The 2025 Kawasaki Versys 650 comes at a premium of Rs 16,000 over the previous model but brings no significant performance or feature upgrades, only a new grey-centric colour scheme. While the new version sticks to the brand's tried-and-true touring formula, budget-conscious buyers may find the 2024 model more appealing. Kawasaki is currently offering a Rs 20,000 discount on the older version until end of May 2025, effectively saving you Rs 36,000 compared to the new one. Its a tempting deal for those not chasing the latest paint job and hoping to save some while at it.
