BGauss aims to introduce durable and robust electric scooters with the BGauss RUV350 model. Featuring 16-inch alloy wheels and a stable stance among electric scooters in India, it builds upon the design cues of their existing D15 electric scooter. The RUV350 incorporates traditional placements for storage space, headlights, and DRLs on the handlebar rather than integrating them into the scooter's apron.
It boasts a single-sided rear suspension and a conventional front suspension setup. Additional exterior highlights include seat cover stitching, contrasting wheel colors (Grey, Orange, and Yellow), and dual-tone exterior colors adorned with graphics, enhancing its visual appeal.
Equipped with a 5-inch TFT display, the scooter offers real-time information including call notifications, turn-by-turn navigation, and dual theme options, with a photometric adaptive display for seamless day and night use. It also features document storage, auto brightness adjustment, and distance-to-empty indicators for enhanced convenience.
Smart vehicle features such as hill hold assist, cruise control, FallSense technology, reverse mode, and regenerative braking further highlight its technological prowess and will ultimately aid the rider in a more convenient ride.
The all-new RUV350 is powered by a 3.07 kWh battery pack paired with BGauss's latest In-Wheel Hyperdrive motor, which boasts a power output of 3.5 kWh. This motor represents an upgrade over the older D15's rear hub motor. Notably, the scooter's motor is IP67-certified and delivers an impressive peak torque of 165 Nm

Verdict
The alll new RUV 350 aims to redefine what an e-scooter looks like and the practicality that it can offer. While it does pack some neat tricks up its sleeves, it has an uphill climb in front of it. Looking at its rivals from brands like Ather and Ola, the biggest would be overcoming the brand name barrier and to evoke the sense of trust. However, with the RUV 350 only being its second offering, we should give it some room to prove its mettle.
