Harley-Davidson 350 & 500 Details
As the world already knows, Harley has tied up with QJ Motors for making these new low-capacity bikes. Hence, the first leaked photos of the X350 & X500 look similar to the Benelli 302S & Benelli Leoncino 500. An approval-type document leaked online recently hence the photos have popped up. Meanwhile, a detailed look at the photos gives an exact idea of what to expect. Both of the models look very similar to their Chinese cousins from Benelli. Meanwhile, the cruiser styling is still evident.
The front of both of the models has a round LED headlight & single-pod digital instrument panel. Additionally, the tubular handlebar & teardrop-shaped fuel tank look uber cool. The 350 gets halogen to turn indicators but the 500 has LED ones. Meanwhile, the seat looks similar to the Benelli's and uses a single-piece setup. Additionally, the rear fender is shaped in a neo-retro way with an LED taillight. Features like rear tyre hugger, alloy wheels, double disc brakes at the front, etc., seem to be standard fitment on both of the models.
Speaking of the engine & specs, mutual sharing with QJ bikes means the engine power output will also be nearly similar. Hence, the X350 (anticipated name) will make around 36 bhp and the X500 around 47 bhp. Moreover, expect features like slipper-clutch, dual-channel ABS, Bluetooth connectivity, etc., to be offered as standard on both of the models.
Verdict
It is being reported online that the official debut will take place by 2024. Meanwhile, both of the models are being showcased in India at select dealerships. It is being reported that the Hero-Harley tie-up is being used to gather customer feedback. Hence, unbadged bikes are being shown to the public. However, it won't be anytime before 2024 that we can see these models in flesh. Moreover, China made badge is surely going to be a barrier in India for these models.
