Honda Amaze, City, And Elevate To Cost More From January 2025
Following the lead of other major automakers like Maruti Suzuki, Hyundai, and Tata Motors, Honda Cars India has announced a price increase across its model lineup. Effective January 1, 2025, Honda will raise vehicle prices by up to two percent to offset rising input costs. This price adjustment will encompass the entire Honda model range in India, including the recently launched Honda Amaze sub-compact sedan.
This decision comes in response to the ongoing rise in input costs and logistics, which have significantly impacted the overall cost of manufacturing vehicles. Kunal Behl, Vice President of Marketing and Sales at Honda Cars India, stated that a small portion of this impact will be passed on to customers through a price revision from the new year.

New Honda Amaze To Get Dearer
The recently launched new-generation Amaze will be subject to a price increase effective from the second week of January 2025. This comes as Honda Cars India implements a price hike across its model lineup, including the Amaze, to offset rising input costs. The new Amaze was launched at a starting price of Rs. 7.19 lakh (ex-showroom) and goes up to Rs.10.90 lakh (ex-showroom) for the top-end variant.
The Honda Amaze stands out as the only sedan in its segment to be exclusively offered with a sole 1.2-liter, 4-cylinder naturally aspirated petrol engine, while rivals like the Maruti Dzire, Hyundai Aura, and Tata Tigor offer factory-fitted CNG options. To cater to the growing demand for CNG vehicles, Honda dealers will now offer retrofitted CNG kits for the Amaze. These RTO-certified kits will be professionally installed at the dealership level and will not void the vehicle's warranty.
Verdict
The price hike comes off as nothing surprising and is very much in line with the industry standards. However, for those planninga. car next year will have to shell out more for their ride. But keep in mind, if you have chosen a model that you were planning to get in January, its better to get it in December with massive year end offers, coupled while avoiding the imminent price hike for an even better deal.
